I went to Age of Aquariums, admittingly not knowing what I was doing when it comes to fish care, and bought two aggressive fish. When the fish became sick from a parasite they commonly have (due to being taken from the wild) and I could no longer afford to care for them, I attempted to return them just a few days after buying them and the owner turned the blame on me, claiming I shouldnt have kept them together (which he did at his store and kept them with another aggressive fish) and I shouldnt have kept them in a tank that was the same size he kept them in (his tank was also very dirty). My smallish tank was meant to be temporary like his, but I ended up not being able to afford a larger one or the necessary products to keep the fish happy because I am a full-time college student. I will admit I should not have gotten the fish with the little experience I have and my inability to take care of them, but the owner treated me poorly and made my experience with the store very unpleasant. He does not keep his fish in a clean environment and the store is simply disgusting from the moment you enter. I would also like to add that there was a man screaming strings of curse words in the store when I visited and the owner uses his child (who cant be older than 13) to help run the store. I honestly think the fish would have been happier with me than stuck in the filthy tanks in this store. DO NOT waste your money here.

Your one stop shop for all things fish. This wonderful town classic features several exotic species as well as many domestic that you simply cant find in any other local store. Mike, the owner, and his two sons will gladly help you with anything that you need to know. Helpfulness - 5/5 Prices - 4/5 (competitive pricing around town, but worse quality.) If you have some equipment, or are just in need, check this wonderful store out. They even stock above 55 gallon tanks!

I have been here many times, and each time i go they are very helpful and give Great Deals!!!! I bought a used 30 Gal. half moon tank there about a year and a half ago its its doing great. Love the large selection of fish,plants,decor. They will even find the fish you are looking for and specialty order them for you if there not in stock. Hands down the best place in cookeville to buy anything Fish related!!
