This museum was impressive, from the organization of the exhibits to the inclusiveness of every aspect of his life, legacy, and personality. It was simple enough to browse through. Some of the pieces could have used more explanation but this might not be something that was documented Warhol himself. The post cards could be more diversified as I noticed there were only 3 or 4 different ones and I wasnt impressed with any of them. Parking was pretty difficult to find how to access the lot as there were cones set out at the obvious entrance blocking the way. I had to drive around the block a few times before I decided to use the adjoining public lot, which was filled with tailgaters and found out that this was connected by a second entrance. Also, the price of parking in the Warhol lot is an additional cost aside from the ticket for the museum.

Could have been much better... I enjoyed how the museum was laid out in chronological order - starting with floor 7 and working your way down. You get to experience the progression of Warhols art styles year-by-year, mostly by decade. The artwork on display is top-notch and many of Warhols iconic artwork is on display. The challenge with the museum is that there wasnt enough history/backstory on his life, and I didnt know much about Andy Warhol. It left me puzzled and wanting more. He lived an incredible life but how did he get from Carnegie Mellon to NYC and start painting iconic American objects? What led up to the attempted murder of Warhol? The museum should strongly consider adding more readable content alongside the artwork or hand out a pamphlet upon admission to allow the guests to fill in those gaps.

This is a very large museum that details the entire life of Andy Warhol. After you enter you take an elevator up to the top floor(I want to say seventh) and work your way down through the decades he was active. They have family pictures as well as pictures he made as a child on the top floor. As you progress down you see the different things that moved Andy, from early stages of his career in advertising, to later stages of film and even a floor dedicated to time capsules Andy made(basically he was a hoarder and just packed junk in boxes and gave it to friends). This is the closest you can get to an artists life that Im aware of and the museum has everything you could anticipate and more. The soup cans, the portraits of stars, even a few canvases that he took a piss on with friends!

$4 admission with student id. There is about 6 floors to the gallery in which you can spend around 3 hours total in if you get interested. I had no previous cares for Warhol in fact I thought he was kind of a scam before I went. After I left however I learned that he is very strategic in his art and was helped by multiple staff members to help me come to good understanding with a lot of his work. I did notice admission is like $18 I think for regular adult and I do not think it is worth that much. Oh and the manager(I think) had the sides of his head buzzed was skinny and short is kinda rude, but all of the other employees were amazingly nice and helpful.

I loved the art, but the staff was awful. They would just stare really intensely at me the whole time, I had walked up to a painting to read the information and this rude lady ran literally ran to me and said"BACK AWAY FROM THE PAINTING NOW" like I was trying to steal it or something. Also I went in the floating helium balloon room and pushed a balloon into another in a non aggressive manor, and the same lady ran over like I just made them explode (helium makes a loud bang by the way) and just stared at me. Thats not it, every person that worked there that I encountered just would stare at me and made me feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable.

I am not a Warhol fan by any measure, and yet having worked at thus museum while attending the Art Institute, I feel compelled to stop in and see what has changed. When I visit I am reminded that Warhol was a hack at being an artist, but an amazing business man! He was the original gossiper, he was a name dropper, and created a persona about him that people wanted to have him near only to be part of the next social enema he was going to drop! Being an artist myself, I can say he had no artistic ability, but he was able to print his own money off of nothing more than shock and social anxiety!

I also thought the cost a bit high. But there was alot to see and I learned alot. HOWEVER. the staff at the desk were completely clueless. they had no idea what they were doing there and stammered in answer to my questions. I was being ignored by a girl while a guy was taking care of another patron so I walked around to face her and asked her directly if she could help me. she said she could not, because she just started..really? do they have no training ? customer service?? For that price, we should have informed and knowledgeable people attending the desk.

Interesting to learn about Andy Warhols life. My adventure buddy has been to exhibits of his stuff but didnt know too much about his advertising career. We liked the interactive "please touch" sections, the silver cloud installation, and creating our own silk screens at the "factory" studio in the basement. The vast collection of his films really captures his multimedia portraits. They even have an exhibit that he intended to have before his unexpected death. Honestly, what a ridiculously silly artist. Picking noses! Teehee!! 10/10 activity

Decided to do a day trip to Pittsburgh and of course the Andy Warhol Museum was on my list. The museum is very modern and presents his work in a multiple floor segment based on the beginning the middle and the end so you can truly see how he progressed and grew as an artist. The staff is very laid back and you are allowed to take pictures without a Flash and book bags have to be put in a locker on site you have to use a quarter to get the key. All in all it was a very fun trip and I would definitely go then

We really enjoyed playing with the silver balloons in an interactive museum display, but the paintings and collection of artifacts were less inspiring to the kids. Unfortunately, the museum also does not allow visitors to take photos. I think it would have been fun to capture some photos of all the fun we had in the balloon room. The museum is also many floors high with stairs or the option of the elevator, which was busy and slow going. A better place to visit for adults, than for young children.
