I will NEVER understand why people write these good reviews.. this place is horrible! Such a ghetto environment..I went to go see Annabelle: Creation and a "lady" with 2 children literally kept answering her phone to talk on it while it was ringing loud each and every time she didnt put it on vibration... how can you grow up so retarded it makes no sense!! Then her children kept asking questions about the movie and she ignored them while she was on her phone with it on full brightness. The worst part I would say is how literally most everyone in the theater was commenting on the movie saying "dont go in there what are you doing" "get out fam run run run" "its about to be a jumpscare" acting like they know whats about to happen and it didnt even happen!!! WHY CANT PEOPLE SHUT UP FOR ONCE WHY DO THEY THINK I WANT TO HEAR THEM... Now I would have called the usher but he would have had to kick everyone out but it was really the lady with her children that bothered me the most!!! I used to come here alot.. why? because I dont want to travel far for a movie theater but this is literally the last time Im going here again its not worth my money!!! ONLY GO HERE IF YOU WANT A GHETTO AUDIENCE YOULL LOVE IT!!!

The last two times I have been to the Pearl, there has been an issue with the sound intermittently coming through only one speaker. Its distracting and annoying. The first time, I let it slide, thinking it was a one-off. The second time, I went out and complained to someone during the movie, and they said they would do something about it, but the problem continued. After the movie was over, I spoke to a manager, but she was extremely unhelpful, and tried giving me the run around, asking me to stay for half an hour to speak to the "upstairs manager" (it was by now after midnight). I asked for a refund, but she refused. I shouldnt have to pay $10 a ticket to see a movie where the sound cuts out. Id rather watch that movie at home after downloading it from a torrent or something. Dont go here if you actually want to enjoy seeing a movie.

Apparently they wait until after the previews are done to turn off some of the main lights...Im not used to watching previews with bright lights still on. Also, I left during the previews to tell a a manager it was hot in the theater and he said "thats what happens when a bunch of people are in the room." Not impressed. I know these sound like complete first world problems, but when Im paying $11 for entertainment I could replace by (a) waiting for it to be online or at redbox or (b) skipping the theater entirely for something that is already on Netflix or redbox, then I dont think its unreasonable to ask that the lights be lowered and the temperature be comfortable.

This movie theater is exceptional. The theater overall is small. So for those of you who like to sneak and catch another movie: BEWARE. When the line is gets very long, some people have to wait outside until it moves up. There are stairs and an escalator to reach the second floor where the movies are held and where customers can purchase popcorn and other snacks to enjoy. Below the stairs there is an arcade. The best thing about the theater are the specials. Children are just $7, adults $9.75, college students $8 and seniors $6.75. The 3D movies are more expensive: children and seniors $10.25, adults $13, and college students $11.25. Opening time is at 11:30 A.M.

Absolutely horrible experience. I gave the theater a second chance yet the second chance was worse. The audience lacks courtesy and talked through out both movies (X-Men Apocalypse and The Purge Election Year). I expected to be carded for my ID in order to enter the purge yet there were children around the age of 12 without an adult who were highly disruptive. The bathrooms were disgusting. I had to constantly check for toilet paper on my shoes, the seats were wet with soggy toilet tissue, some toilets didnt flush and it was an overall disappointing experience. I would not recommend this theater to anyone. Please try another Pearl or just go to an AMC Theatre.

I live less than a block from this theater, and I was excited when they built it. Turns out, though, its pretty bad. Every time I go, someone is chatting away on their cell phone (yes, during the actual movie), or there are screaming kids running around (during a showing of The Dark Knight), or people are smoking. Ive been to at least 5 movies at this theater, and some interruption or incident has occurred at each one. I finally quit going when a friend of mine got so mad at the noisy audience that he walked out on a movie (Iron Man), and management basically told him to screw off. Now I drive to Manayunk to see movies.

This theater is: cold, ghetto, not customer/guest oriented, bunch of irresponsible kids (and adults who act like children) working there, poorly designed (why oh why is the concession line right by the stairs/escalator...so when it gets crowded you cant even come up or get snacks), dirty, intimidating (why do i have to pass a big ol dude with a gun like im in a hood club?).. its always loud obnoxious people on their phones, yelling at the screen, kids running around in R rated movies.. it is cheap, but u get what u pay for, now dont you? they need to shut it down and think it over....

I tried to buy the tickets earlier today, but every time I typed in my both credit and debit card numbers, it said "error" for some reason. Also every time I call the place I hear "The subscriber you have dialed is not in service". I got there, waited in line to find out the tickets were sold out, then asked a cashier what the theaters phone number was, because the one on the website didnt seem to be accurate. She claimed that when the theater gets busy, no one has time to answer the phone. She was also very unsure of what the actual phone number was. Shame.

Its an average theater with good movie prices. Tuesday is $6 per ticket all day so thats always a treat. The picture on the screens arent all that great compared to many other theaters I will say, and usually youre waiting an extra 10-15 for the previews to actually start before the movie even comes on.. But it is what it is and in this area of the city, I guess you get what you pay for.. Oh and the pretzel bites here are better than anywhere else in the city.

The place is full of ghetto ignorant customers. Can not will not be able to watch a movie because people dont have no type of consideration for others. Then the management what to look at us crazy because me and my fiance is telling them that people are arguing and being very rude and disrupting the movie. They did give us free tickets to attend another day but who wants to watch a movie with lound rude people......

I get it the 4 oclock show sold out so hubby and I go back for the 7 oclock show. When I walked in O M G SMFH the place is filthy popcorn all over the floor I mean I was stepping on it as I walked to theater four trash too. I will never ever come to this place again. If they had ushers checking your ticket to make sure youre in the right seat why not have ushers to sweep up them nasty a## floors disgusting.
