KSGCC is an easily accessible, full-service private country club with a fabulous golf course, full-size pool, 7 tennis courts (3 are lighted), and 4 platform tennis courts. It prides itself on being family-friendly and offers an informal year-round club experience with social activities for all ages. The clubs dining facilities range from a mens grill to fine dining to banquet facilities. The quality of the facilities is matched only by how easy it is to make new friends. I have been a member for 9 years and know probably half the members by their first names. The review below by Ms. Mulhern seems to be generally out of step with all the other reviews here and on Facebook. I know she enjoys playing golf with her friends and her son and has found another venue at which to enjoy satisfying dining experiences, the game of golf, and the outdoors.

KSGCC is a gem nestled in Southern Chester county. I have been a member for 6 years and have formed friendships unlike any since my college days. The golf course is beautiful yet devilishly challenging, converting a novice to serious golf addict in the blink of an eye. And the club has so much to offer beyond golf - a rackets program comprised of tennis (both clay and hard courts), paddle ball and now pickleball, a magnificent new pool with a swimming league for the kids, and the ever-experimental Chef Don manning the kitchen. But what cannot be replicated elsewhere is the welcoming fellowship, for the entire family, of the KSGCC membership. I would commend any and all to stop by the club and have a look around.

Took advantage of no bond membership offer and could not have enjoyed it more. Excellent golf course, walkable any time,no tee times so always available. Really nice tennis facility with added bonus of platform tennis. (I never heard of the game before last year, really fun, easier to take up than tennis and played all winter) Great swimming pool. Kids liked the swim team and swim parents very fun and friendly. Really nice facilities in every way with plenty of fun social events to meet people. Biggest benefit is friendly staff and members. People have gone out of the way to make my family feel welcome. Terrific club all the way around.

Best restaurant in Kennett Square. Love the ambience and the food. The chef is marvelous. The food manager has helped me host some beautiful parties. Our book group has our Christmas party there. It was so nice to walk into such a beautifully-decorated setting without having to do it myself. The servers were so attentive and everyone had a fabulous time. It is becoming an annual event everyone looks forward to. I am not a golfer but it is fun to bring guests to dine on the covered patio and enjoy the lovely views of the golf course. Everyone is very friendly and all of the staff knows your name. I cant rate it high enough. Give it a try!

KSGCC is simply the best golf club in the area for the fact that the fantastic Donald Ross designed course is walkable, always in great condition and always presents a new challenge. The course is never too crowded where you cant walk right up and tee off on #1 (never tee times even on weekend mornings). The newly renovated kitchen also produces some fantastic food with quality wait staff and bar tenders to back them up. I recently had one of the best NY Strip steaks that all future steaks will now be compared to. If you are reading this and are considering a membership you wont be disappointed!

I have been a member of KSG&CC for 18 years. I have raised my kids here. Taught them how to behave in a nice restaurant. Swim team, junior golf and even some tennis has provided them with lots of activities and opportunities to grow. I have learned to play tennis and enjoyed being part of a tennis team. My husband and sons enjoy golf, both sons playing on the local high school golf team. Our entire family has made great friends at the club. It is very much a family environment and our family has many fond memories. Would recommend it to anyone.

If you are looking for a friendly Country Club, take a look at Kennett Square Golf and Country Club. The course is in excellent shape - no T times and you can walk the course if you wish. Also with a new pool and an active paddle and tennis program it is the ideal family club

Best greens of any course in the area, nice elevation changes, each hole varies in design and challenge with elevated and false front greens, water hazards, etc. A nice Donald Ross design and a pleasant course to play with a good staff.
