I was married at Deerfield on June 17, 2011 and I can honestly say that it was absolutely a dream come true for me. Everything was perfect and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I had the most memorable wedding. Choosing Deerfield as our venue was a no brainer, from the moment you walk into the grand ball room you will instantly understand what I mean by no brainer, it is BEAUTIFUL!!!It is so elegant and grand, but the view that you get from all the windows also gives the ballroom a peaceful and natural feel. The staff.....it would take me forever to write about the staff because there is just so much to say. Working with Emily, the wedding planner at Deerfield, made the planning process so much better, she is so calm and so professional. Her confidence and her ability to provide her customers with useful resources was definitely a plus. Michael, the maitre d, was so professional and very well organized. He helped get our wedding party well prepared during our rehearsal the night before. He was so kind and even provided everyone with a nice tour of the facility during the rehearsal. Steve, also the maitre d, was amazing. His leadership and his overall friendly nature really allowed the actual wedding day to flow beautifully. He was there every step of the way during the day of. Because of him and his team, our guests had an amazing time at the wedding. We still receive compliments about the wedding and I believe that they are largely due to Steve. Steve knew exactly how to do everything! He knew how to set the right ambiance at all times and he even knew where my husband and I needed to stand for the perfect cake cutting pictures. He was simply wonderful. Anne, who was our personal server for the day, was a sweetheart right from the start. It is because of her that we were even able to taste all of the wonderful food to begin with. We were so busy greeting guests and taking pictures, but thanks to Anne, my husband and I were also able to enjoy some champagne during our alone time. Anne was a blessing! Last but not least...Chef Paul. The food was wonderful and it was served right on time. No one went hungry because he provided our guests with TONS of amazing food. People still talk about the delicious crab cakes! People will always remember the food during a wedding so having an amazing chef like Chef Paul is a must. All in all Deerfield was a perfect choice. I knew that we had made a good choice by going with Deerfield, but I never dreamed of just how wonderful everything would actually be. The staff was simply the best and on the day of your wedding they do everything and anything to make sure that you have the best time possible. A beautiful facility with a wonderful staff is a perfect package and its exactly what you get at Deerfield.

The Ballroom at Deerfield Country Club was the venue for our wedding reception on Nov 22, 2013. Prior to this event, we worked with their staff who were always gracious, considerate, and helped us with our budget and our desires for the evening event. The staff was flexible in letting my relatives decorate and bring some items over the week of the reception. The event itself was beautiful - the staff was polite, the food was delicious and sound, lightning and the smaller details were all taken care of with excellence. We appreciated the care of Deerfield and the attention they all gave to our special day. We will look forward to returning to celebrate other occasions there. As the bride, I would definitely recommend Deerfield as a place to hold your wedding reception. It is lovely, and they are organized so you can be sure that your event will be like you want desire. They will work with your interests and desires and also help provide some of their own ideas when you get stuck! They help work within the time frame and budget and treat you with respect. We also did our "first look" pictures on the grounds at Deerfield prior to an evening wedding and were so appreciative of Deerfield letting us use their grounds for this too. So happy to have memories at this venue. Thank you Deerfield!

For the past year I have had the absolute pleasure to work closely with Angela and my bride in the planning of her wedding held at Deerfield on June 9, 2017. From the beginning, Angela was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the intricate details of planning a special occasion to ensure a lovely affair. She provided great tips and suggestions whenever we encounter a planning issue or concern. Angela was a true blessing to us. Fast forward....A few days before the big day the couple and I met with the Operations manager, David. We explained in detail their vision for their wedding day. David ensured us that he and his staff had everything under control and that the couple picked the best place in Delaware for their Big Day. And I can honestly say that statement is 100% true. David, Mike, Anne, and the entire staff were exceptional. They thought of everything and didnt miss a beat. They were attentive to our needs, personable and a pleasure to be around. I would highly recommend Deerfield again and again. The atmosphere was great, the food was excellent and the grounds were well maintained and clean. Thanks Deerfield for providing us with the best of the best. You exceeded my expectations, but more importantly the expectations of the bride and groom. Thank you again!

Our wedding day was absolutely the best day of my life and it couldnt have gone smoother without the expertise of the staff at Deerfield. Deerfield was the PERFECT place for our wedding reception & our guests still talk about how beautiful our wedding was. The ambiance for our evening wedding was absolutely magical. The grounds were perfect for pictures and the staff catered to us throughout the entire day & evening. The staff was so professional and helpful throughout the entire process & we did not want for anything. Emily was fantastic with her planning and always made herself readily available for any questions or concerns we had. From the planning, to the day of our wedding, Deerfields staff made the entire process so memorable. David & the rest of the entire staff was excellent & executed the night precisely. They really went above and beyond to make me, my husband and our guests feel so welcomed and special. I really can not say enough about Deerfield. It is one of the best places to have your wedding reception in Delaware. From the breathtaking views the venue has to offer to the delicious food & drinks & the superb hospitality, you can not go wrong with choosing Deerfield. We highly recommend it! I was married at Deerfield in September of 2011. Like reviewer "Leah" Deerfield was the first place we looked because they happened to be holding a bridal open house the first weekend after we were engaged. We left the open house (which was fantastic too, food, cake, drinks, talking to other couples and sharing ideas) thinking this is it but we have to check out other places just to level set. So, after looking at dozens of places online and visiting over a dozen other venues in person, we came to the realization that no where in the area holds a candle to the ambiance, beautiful views of the golf course and White Clay Creek State Park, delicious food, and absolutely fabulous staff of Deerfield. Obviously your big day, whether its a wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, or corporate event, takes a lot of planning. The staff at Deerfield was there for us every step of the way. Every question we had was answered promptly, they go above and beyond to try accommodating every request, Chef Paul is very flexible creating a menu that fits your needs and everything the man and his army make is beyond delicious! At Deerfield, you and your guests will not leave disappointed, in anything!
