I REALLY didnt want to rate Cinebarre so low. This is an open letter to the Cinebarre team. Having spent a 1/3 of my life working in a place very similar (entertainment, with a dining experience), Im try to be very sympathetic. I treat this as low-hanging decision changes that can greatly impact customer experience for the better. First, Cinebarre is fantastic. The lounge is beautiful. Beautiful posters of films of all ages. The bar is positioned directly in the center. Theres plenty of seating if you wanted to dine before the film (which Ill share later). Secondly, the staff is nice. Bunch of hardworking people. Polite. Speedy. Inside the theater, its very clean and the seating is comfortable. I couldnt find a single kernel of popcorn on the ground. Theres also a non-intrusive call-button, along with pens and paper to quietly write your order. (Interesting, but Ill get back to this later.) All great elements, but ruined because of confusing decisions on customer experience. 1) Butter soup: Your popcorn gets served in a metal bowl. Want butter on your popcorn? Then expect the last 1/3 to be popcorn butter soup. Just a gooey un-edible mess. Paper containers absorbed the butter. My GF and I left the popcorn, and went home with stomach aches from this. 2) Not being able to order food at the bar: What a missed opportunity. Per the bartender, you must order food inside the theater room. If youre an hour early? Then go sit inside a dark theater, push the call button, wait for a server to recognize it, and place your order in the emptiness of a giant room. Youre early - theres no trailer or entertainment. Why cant food be delivered? This is not impossible - I highly recommend you check out multi-room comedy clubs, large sit-down restaurants, or even the nearest competitor, Northern Lights - on how to do this. 3) Getting the check/bill near the end of the movie: This is common in live theater. The difference? When the live act sees servers scrambling to give checks - they start going into their "B material". Movies dont have that luxury. So while the last 20 minutes of film (the most intense moments) are playing, a server walks in front of you, and hands you a bill. So while the film is about to hit the climax - you have to get pulled back into reality, pull out your credit card, calculate the tip, sign a slip, and try to spend the next 5 minute re-orienting yourself. The customer solution? Its better off for customers to not dont buy anything. Your movie experience can remain pristined and unbothered. If I was able to pay at the bar and have everything taken care of - it wouldnt be such a painful experience. For now, I cant recommend Cinebarre to anybody, no matter how beautiful it is. Rather than walk the 5 minutes to get there, Id rather drive the 25 minutes to the NE Salem, or the 15 minutes to South salem, for my movie experience. Update: so when you review them, someone says "Leave your feedback on our website blah blah blah." I actually did - filling out a form thats overly complicated. I havent got a response back. Yeah, this place is way too corporate to even reply back. I prefer to take my business to someone who actually cares.

I will not return to this theatre because I do not feel safe patronizing it due to a recent experience in which myself and several other customers were nearly victims of an attempted employee theft. I saw Jack Reacher on October 21 at 7 p.m. Our entire row (four seats) ordered food and were brought tabs about halfway through the movie. We promptly paid for our meals by placing credit cards and cash inside the check folders brought by the server, a young blond woman. The server did not return with our change and cards. The movie ended, and she had still not returned. The credits came on, and still no server. We repeatedly turned on the call light and were still ignored. Finally, after the movie, our row walked out into the main lobby located the server, who was trying to avoid us. She deliberately avoided eye contact and walked away when we tried to summon her. After much avoidance, she finally returned from inside the theater with the check folders and said that they had fallen behind our seats. This was clearly a lie as she had never returned the folders to us. It was obvious that this employee was attempting to take the credit cards and cash from our row. Even when returning the folders to us, she did not apologize and instead seemed miffed that she had been caught in her attempted misdeed. I immediately contacted the theatre via its website and left a detailed message explaining what occurred so that the theater could take appropriate corrective action. Over a week later, I received a generic response thanking me for letting them know about the sound quality. It was obvious that no one had even bothered to read my email. Allegations of potential employee theft are extremely serious, and any reputable business would have handled this with an appropriate degree of professionalism, instead of ignoring the problem and blowing it off. Because this theatre apparently turns a blind eye to serious and potentially criminal acts on the part of its employees, I do not feel safe patronizing it again. I will avoid this theater and would encourage others to do the same.

I am done with this place. Who wants to go to the movies and end up pissed off and frustrated? Ive written before about their poor service but that was awhile back and I thought Id give them another try, like maybe they read these reviews and learn from them. What is up with the management there, anyway? So todays adventure was that I was in a theater that had just me and one couple. Three people in the whole theater, at a blockbuster movie that just opened (Guardians). I thought hey, more likelihood that my order will actually arrive correct and in one piece! Alas, it was not to be. I ordered two simple things - popcorn (and she said shed bring me parmesan cheese), plus an iced tea with lemon. I didnt get the popcorn until about 15 minutes into the movie (having sat through all the previews after ordering). No parmesan, no iced tea. After about 15 more minutes, I went out to find out what was up with my iced tea. The gal at the bar, instead of giving me my freaking iced tea, looked at two iced teas sitting on the counter and told me mine would appear soon. I missed part of the movie to go do this. I put up my little board to flag the waitress once I got back to my seat. After about another 10 minutes or so, she came in (with no iced tea), and asked me what I needed. My freaking iced tea, thats what I needed, and some parmesan!!!! I finally got them both. Walking up the stairs after the movie to use the facilities, I noted the carpeting on the stairs was quite dirty. Im done with this place. Management needs to wake up and do better. Sheesh!!

Saw Jack Reacher with my daughter Friday October 21 at 7pm Started with the cashier giving us the wrong tickets which we then had to exchange. Sat in 2nd row from front on left side of the theater. Took very long tine (20 minutes) to place drink order and then long time to receive them. Woman in inside seat was having a similar problem. Tried to pay for drinks and was told to wait till she brought tab near end of show. Did so and put $20 in folder. Folder was picked up very quickly. Waited for change. Movie ends, still no change. Credits end, still no change. No server in sight. Woman next to us asked, " What should we do? My credit card was in the folder". Finally see server and asked for folders but she was not interested in helping or answering questions. . Finally found server/manager who asked the server to search for my missing money and the missing credit card.Server went back in theater and very quickly returned with the folders. The explanation she gave was that they had fallen behind our seats.. since we did not see the server from the time she took the folders till we accoosted her after the movie ended that explanation rings false. And I am wondering how they got behind the seats. I apologize for not getting the servers name but the credit card woman and myself were so relieved to recover our money/card that we left. My opinion is that this server is very dishonest and was hoping we would give up and go away without our our money/ card. That is a very terrible commentary on your operations
