RUDE DUDE ....I tried to host a party at the wunderland avalon today. when I booked the party weeks ago I was told that I would need at least 8 guest to show up and I told the lady that was no prob because we would have over 30 people there. she also told me that my son would be getting 100 nickles for us booking the party.(she was very nice) today when we showed up I was told by one of my guest who showed up early that the rude manager approched her about a $60 fee( that no one told me about). she told him she was just a guest and he still harassed her about the money. I was told by a few of my guest how rude the man at the door was and I had the same experience with him. I had well over 30 people there. .... they all spent at least $20 each child after paying to get in. my son never got his birthday nickles and the manager spent the whole time walking around with a pissy look on his face. half the games did not work or had no tickets in them and if you won 8tickest on a game it would only spit out 3 or 4. we will NEVER host a party there again..... at least till they drop the jerk and premote a kid who can smile and act like he likes working around kids. hate to say it because I have always been a big fan of wunderland but you should just book your party at chuck e cheese.

The Avalon is a great inexpensive option for family entertainment. I have been going to the arcade her since I was a kid and it has provided great fun for my kids as well. The movies are late run and very affordable. The theater is intimate and offers comfortable seating but no particular frills. The arcade floor is good size and the big screen in the large arcade plays Blazer and other sporting events which is nice. The tickets are fairly easy to accumulate and the kids always enjoy trading for prizes at the front counter. There are three items for improvement: 1. The arcade games do not seem to change much and some of the games are fairly tired. In the last three years, I have not noticed a single game change. 2. The ticket counter should have a system in place to accumulate tickets over a series of visits, allowing frequent patrons to earn more significant prizes. Maybe a voucher receipt with the total number of tickets? Maybe they offer this, I have never asked, but it has not been offered to me either. 3. There was only a single pinball game I could find??? Seems like there should be more.

Avalon theater on Belmont is a great place to bring the kids they have lots of games to play or you can watch a movie and you can also get some popcorn and some soda or candy Unfortunately they do not have hot dogs butt try to go in the off hours it seems to get packed on the weekend and its hard to play the games also you can book a kid birthday party there as well lots of fun for the kids and admission is $2 or you can check on Google for coupons and get free admission and if you go regularly you can sign up to get their monthly free passes and 100 free nickels then all you have to do is buy Nichols fun time for the family

Gross! Still good cheap fun, but really gross! Do not go to the theater because the seats are not only super uncomfortable, they are the grossest thing here! I went once on a rainy day and the seats smelled moldy. The entire establishment is dirty and a lot of the games eat your money, but it is still fun to take the kid to play some games then load up on breakable crap and candy. I would watch your kids though...Seen some guys here that are without kids that just give me a creepy feeling. You know the type that seem to hover and watch kids, they talk to themselves, have a twitch, and just seem out of place.

I have visited the Avalon Theater for nigh on eighteen years now. It has always been a pleasant experience. From playing video games like Gantlet, Space Travel and driving fun cars and water boats, a nice adventurous challenge! Now my niece and nephew enjoy playing the video games and love finding delightful surprises. I always like to escape and see a good movie in the theater that is so down home and comfortable. Kind of human size, or should I say forest people size? Well, the pod is safe now we may hopefully heal the world for the hummingbirds of benevolent love.

Affordable fun! If you like classic arcades this is the place for you! Its got several large auditorium sized rooms filled with all kinds of arcade games at reasonable prices, one of which still has a functional screen. They also have a screen away from games and loud noises for movies and they are usually discount prices on fairly new releases! $5 - $10 could potentially keep a person entertained there for hours....with the chance of prizes! Not to mention the concession, as far as I know they still serve fountain RC Cola. Never disappointing!

I only played nickel games, but for about 5 bucks I got a good amount of fun in! Played a lot of Air Hockey, little skeeball and a couple choice shooter games. I hear theres a $2 theater that plays terrible movies, also a great way to spend some time (as long as you have a flask ;) ) I wish they have a bar, or at least a few beer options up front, but there are a good amount of bars nearby if youre looking to tie one on. I dont see frequent return trips, but if Im in the area, its a fun hour long distraction.

My 3 kids and I arrived today to receive unsatisfactory customer service. My older son had a skateboard, the rest of us had biked. He was refused entry with the skateboard. I explained maybe it could be stowed behind the counter. the Manager Glenn, said NO. I pleaded that "is there anything you can do?" he offered not even an Im sorry, or a BARE with me" nothing! My kids and I had been waiting for over a month to go to the nickel arcade. we went home VERY Unhapppy.

Movie time 9:35. Arrived 9:26. Endless chatter at ticket booth, first couple at booth for almost four minutes all involved were oblivious. Made it to front of line by 9:36. Place was loud and confused. Concession stand workers oblivious as well. Left and felt a lot better. Establishment felt cheap and overwhelmed. Been to movies all over the world. Other than a place in Mexico, this was the worst..Annoying. Disgraceful.

Awesome value for a rainy afternoon with the kids. Like most parents, Im not a fan of the ticket/reward system - but the games are so cheap (multiples of 5 cents) that everyone can play a loooong time with a $5 baggie of nickles (which you can buy at the front desk). While we dont usually go for the movies, Ive been impressed by the selection of second run films they usually run - but the cheap gaming is the real draw.

Im not sure if Ive ever actually seen a movie here - I just come for the nickel arcade. From classics like skeeball to obscure truck-driving games this place has it all. And they have a wide range of junky prizes that keep my nephews (age 6 & 9) motivated to play for hours. Its relatively clean and the staff is moderately friendly, but none of that really matters - as long as the pop-a-shots still operational!
