Part of the appeal of this theatre is its location. There are so many food and drink options for before and after a show that it cant help but add to the experience. Although the seating is comprised of individual chairs (not the most comfortable), the setting is very intimate. That means you wont ever feel too far from the stage. If youre sitting off to the side and near the front, you may develop some neck craning issues. So Id recommend arriving early to queue up for general admission shows or try to get your neighbors to all agree to rotate the chairs slightly. Again, since the seating is all individual chairs, theyre more freely movable. There are also two unisex restrooms at opposite ends of the bar service area. Expect lines before and after the show.

The Alberta Rose Theater is an amazingly great venue! They host a huge variety of shows and the ticket prices are consistently low. The staff really get to know the regulars, and are always happy to see you come. Although they concession stand sells a few food items, there are TONS of great restaurants on Alberta Street for a pre-show dinner. Lots of seating inside, and lots of free street parking help to make this an outstanding venue.

I truly love this venue, the quaint, old world feel and the incredibly intimate music experiences you can only get in such a small venue. My only two complaints: no ice for non-alcoholic beverages and they only get semi cold in the fridge. 2nd: seats are cute, but not very comfortable for sitting for a long show. On the upside, they appear to be the real, antique McCoy!

Ive attended a few events here and I like it for the most part. There are lots of great nearby food options but this facility itself is a little dated. The biggest area that the Alberta Rose Theater can improve upon is their chairs; theyre a little outdated and squeaky. Other than that, its a nice venue with a great atmosphere and nice lighting.

Saw a great concert here. Every seat in the house is good. Excellent sound system and acoustics, friendly crowd. Only negatives - lines for the rest rooms are endless, and the area in front of the bar (which is in the back of the theatre) is almost impassible - very difficult to walk around at intermission.

Intimate venue that consistently has interesting, eclectic concerts and performances. There is a variety of beer, wine, cider and snacks available from the bar which always has an impressive line, along with the bathrooms so, plan accordingly.

Its an older place. Needs some repairs and updating. Prices are to high for their plays. Although the living dead wasnt to bad. Paid extra money for splash zone. Wasnt worth the extra money just sprayed you with punk water. Was very disappointed.

Huge array of shows here from circus and pole dancing to music and live podcast shows. Small selection of pretty good food (savory hand pies seem to be the thing), and a couple beers and wines. Not much selection there, but good options.

Technical difficulties, only two single-use bathrooms and somewhat uncomfortable seating. The shows I have seen here have been good, and I enjoy the overall feel/vibe, it just doesnt quite have everything it needs.

Probably been to 10 shows here, even performed at one. They feature many eclectic genres. Restroom wait times at intermission are terrible. Seats a bit uncomfortable. But thats part of the charm right?

Always a great show at the Alberta Rose. Biggest complaint is that there are only 3 restrooms for the entire place. Seems a little disproportionate as far as capacity vs. number of restrooms.

I always love this place. Expect long lines for drinks and food. Stella tacos across the street is great for a quick intermission bite if you want to skip the wait.

Always a fine venue. Small enough of a place you should always have a good seat. Many events sell out here so be sure to get tickets early.
