I went to Fenix during lunch time for a Catfish Poboy, and was asked by Chef Gator why I wasnt next door? Today, 09/01/15, was the launch of a Lunch Buffet at Fenix, Tuesday - Friday, for only $12 (the same price as the Catfish Poboy). The line had all my favorites - Assorted Salads, Collard Greens, Cabbage, Mac n Cheese, Fried Chicken, Fried Catfish, Waffels, Biscuits, Jambalaya, Grits, and more... I discovered a new favorite, Chicken Lafayette over rice, this is a must have if it is on the line. While I was there Chef Gator leaked an up coming line item - Ox Tails - and he shared in addtion to the standards, he will introduce new items to the line. If you are in the area, I highly reccommed you stop by Fenix from noon to 2:30P for the lunch buffet.

The Fenix is a very nice upscale nightclub with what are the best bands in in the San Francisco Bay Area on Wednesday at 7:30 Roscoe on keyboards is a world class musician. Michael and Larry make up the cool rhythm section Michael on five string bass and Larry singing and playing the drums will often give us a history of the music. Then there is Adam who rips on guitar and is unique singer with a sense of style. All and all this is an exceptional band so everyone should dress up a little and bring your friends on down for the best music on a Wednesday night. Happy hour goes until 7 and the music starts at 7:30 so theres that too gotta love it

What a nice venue in San Rafael. Came to celebrate a birthday the end of September and felt like we had the back room to ourselves with what seemed like personal service from the back bartenders. The band playing that night provided great dancing music. The only downside, and 1 less star, was the attitude of one of the "hostesses" (I assume she was since she had a bunch of menus in her hand) who acted like my party and I were sneaking in without paying the cover! Asked if she wanted to see my receipt...she backed off. The ladies at the front however were very welcoming! Shook off that experience and had a great evening.

We are very fortunate to have this club in our community. the venue is beautiful and quite comfortable. The new Orleans-style food is outstanding. And the musicians who grace the stage are outstanding, from local up-and-comers with remarkable talent to professionals from near and far. All shows are broadcast via Lifestream worldwide and then archived and available on Fenixlive to view anytime. There is no upscale venue which appeals to all our senses like the Fenix in Marin County. If you have not been, go. It likely will wonderfully surprise you. Hopefully, we will be able to enjoy Fenix for a very, very long time.

Went there last Sunday night, March 19th... Place was packed... Music was really great.... Food was horrible.... My chicken dish was like jerky and the mac and cheese was like they put some salt/pepper on the noodles and then melted some cheese on top... NO cheesy sauce and dry as hell. Again, go for the music and go down the street and eat a Joes....

More upscale than most other places in San Rafael and you the prices are a little high for what you get. Good food and the chiefs table is awesome.

Gorgeous venue. Really unique with its supper club angle. Ive only tried the bar-burger, but being a big San Francisco burger snob...I loved it.

Nice lounge, great atmosphere and pretty yummy food. Everything is a bit pricey but its a nice spot. Parking around here is pretty limited.
