we were there for the trump town hall yesterday at ocean center. i am uncertain whether it was the fault of the ocean center staff or trumps planners, but...i will say it was a chaotic situation regarding entering the arena. many were forced to wait outside the venue in the heat even though doors "opened" 3 hours prior to his scheduled 3pm appearance. attendees were not allowed to use any of the centers restroom facilities until entering the actual arena. people waited in line for over 2 hours and were not allowed to use the restrooms???? once the arena doors opened, arena staff instructed additional lines to form to allow more people in to the center. this caused mass confusion. people that waited over 2 hours to enter the arena were then forced to allow the newly formed lines of people to interlace. so, people who were once at the front of the line lost their turn due to the staffs instructions to form new lines. this caused a great deal over- crowding, leaving me to feel as if i was a cow going to slaughter. and it just keeps getting better... there were only 4 metal detectors to screen the entire crowd estimated at 12, 000 attendees. after waiting over 2 hours in line and rushing to the restrooms, which were now overcrowded due to lack of use of facilities for the last 2 hours, people were forced to sit only on one side of the arena-behind the stage. several security staff explained the front stage side of the arena would open only after the back stage side was filled to capacity. meanwhile, the food vendors were also understaffed, appeared to be short of food items, and rude to customers. overall, my experience at the ocean center proved to be an unpleasant experience.

I had to take a moment to tell as many people as I can about the disgusting treatment my husband and I had while attending an event at the Ocean Center on Wednesday, March 17th. It was a comedy concert and spring break all at the same time (busy to say the least). After over an hour of trying to get the Ocean Center, there were 5-6 people directing traffic into the parking garage. There, we were given a ticket and told to follow the lights to an open parking spot. After going up all 6 stories, there was another attendant at the top saying that all was full and we had to go back down and find somewhere else to park. This was after we already paid the $5 fee and then were told that we couldnt get our $5 back! You would think that they would know how many parking spots were available before bringing more people in. This was after the show had already started and more people were behind us! I cannot believe that they would allow a business to be ran this way when it comes to people paying a lot of money to see a show like this AND not allowing someone to get their money back. I will NEVER come back to this arena and will never support the city of Daytona again! You will need to get here about 3 hours early just to be able to find decent parking and not loose your money in the process!

The facility is wonderful. However the parking lot attendants dont have it together. I was there for a week long event and they actually left their post and I was stuck behind a locked barrier for 20min. No apologies were given. My phone messages were not answered when I called the facilities management. I was told by the people from the parking garage office that there was someone on the way. Im not sure how it takes 20 min to find someone to open a gate or why they would leave their post.

Went here for dino quest. There were no signs at the parking garage and we went to three wrong entrances while trying to find the right one. There are no crosswalks at the light outside of the parking garage, and the staff was insulting when I mentioned how hard it was to find Dino Quest. The parking garage elevators are so slow that it was literally faster to take the two flights of stairs back to our car. Not an enjoyable experience at all.

Large, multipurpose facility. Hall used for Home Show did not have a flat floor. There were humps under the carpet that people were tripping over and the carpet the carpet itself kept moving & creating big ridges that people tripped on. A lady fell right in front of our booth. Parking is also extremely limited if youre handicapped; youll need to walk quite away from the parking garage add the close surface lots are small & fill up fast.

I recently had my graduation here. This place is huge and is well kept by staff. Bathrooms are always clean and stocked. The lobby area was freshly waxed and all of the windows and decorations were cleaned. This is an incredible place to host a huge event. In the past, I have visited for monster truck events. This place offers so much!

I have been here for my graduation, my sisters graduation, and my brothers graduation. The seats are awful and have never been renovated. The parking is not able to accommodate the capacity of the building. This would not be ideal for a major event, and Volusia County needs at least one spot to hold large events.

jeff primack does his qigong revolution here, they are crazy with the parking fees and whatnot when you go there dont leave or youll pay five bucks to park there again. But overall a great place to have a big convention like the Qi Gong Revolution.

Great place...saw our sons graduation there. Very clean womens restroom. My husband and I own Daves Jerky Shop on 175 S. Nova Rd, in Ormond Beach..and being a business owner it is wonderful to see we have such a great venue.

Worst place to hold a graduation ceremony. The kids are so far away and cant really get a good picture. The one place you could get a good one from they had workers telling you "you can stand there and take a picture"

Weve been here several times for several things. They always have something going on. Nice place always clean. Dont buy food or drinks there though, walk a block or 2 and get twice the food for half the price.

Its a brand new building thats big enough to have a concert or any venue. With lots of local events that come through. Its on the beach in daytona next to a water park. Theres also a big parking garage.
