This museum is tucked away on the airport in Batavia, but they have great signage, so its not hard to find. When I went to the museum, I had driven all the way down from Dayton, and because of an accident on the interstate, I arrived maybe a little more than a half hour before closing time. When I walked in, they told me that they were about to close and that I could come back another day, and I told them that I was from out of state and wouldnt be able to, they were more than accommodating for me and my friends who came with me, and gave us a short, but good tour of the facility. And now on to the museum itself! Its clear that this is a small-town operation, but credit to these guys, they do a good job in maintaining a nice facility with a wide variety of aircraft. Its rare that you can find a museum with a couple, let alone six or seven airworthy WWII aircraft! The most interesting piece (to me) that they had, was the Royal New Zealand Air Force P-40 Kittyhawk, as its rare to see a WWII aircraft in the US with non-USAAF markings.

Larry gave us a detailed tour of the entire museum. He was very knowledgable about the museum itself-purpose, goals, history,etc.-as well as all the planes. And the autos too-they were interesting. After the formal look he encouraged us to browse the areas where we wanted more information. We visited the artwork and loved the library. Also most enjoyable was talking with all the guides before we left. They have great stories and it was good to hear them. The exhibits are well presented-lots of information in a compact place. We had previously been members and lapsed. We renewed our membership and will return. Thanks, the Rini family

The hands on displays and close up views are awesome. I spent 3 hours there and would have been longer but they were closing. What a great value and lots of fun. I highly reccomend brining the family for an up close view of these great machines.

Just amazing to walk into a museum and not only see beautiful Warbirds, but to see them restored correctly to flying condition. These are not static displays. These are real flying aircraft.

They allow you to touch the aircraft and the tour guides are very knowledgeable.
