This place is a gem! Movies are first run, and the technology is up to date (including 3D!!), yet admission is significantly less than youd pay at a chain theater. Bargain Tuesday makes it even more affordable. Concessions arent cheap, but theyre not outrageous either, and everything is tasty & fresh. Staff and management are pleasant, friendly and helpful. The theater and its furnishings are well kept; everything is clean, including the restrooms. The standard theater seats are comfortable enough for most, and (I believe) a few wider ones are available as well. Handicapped accessibility is excellent! Its seldom crowded, and the view is good no matter where you sit. Even the temperature is well regulated: no freezing in the summer or roasting in the winter. Downside? There is none! Particularly if you live in the Barberton area, if you want to see a movie theres no reason to go any place else.

This was my theater growing up all through school. Im not sure what happened after owners switched, the past three times I have gone there has been an older man who works there who is so distracting when trying to watch the movie. He stands in the room the whole time and is constantly walking up and down the aisles and even sits by people who make the tiniest noise.... very unprofessional. Unfortunately I no longer go there, at least while that guy is there. Just very rude to pay for a movie and the worker distract over tiny things like that. Great prices though! Very polite kids who work the concession stand as well!

We are lucky to have the largest screen in Summit County not in Montrose, not in Cuyahoga Falls but right here in Barberton! $8 for a ticket isnt bad to begin with but theres a fair amount of buy one get one free admission coupons in the Entertainment Book to make it a great deal! I go here whenever I want to see a first run movie. Its a nice cinema, cant beat it for convenience if you live anywhere around Barberton like Norton, Clinton, Wadsworth, Doylestown, etc.

I really like this movie theater. Its a little older, but the prices are good and its never very crowded. My wife and I usually hit the Mexican place down the street, then walk over to catch a movie. I brought my daughter and her friends for Lego Batman; it was in the main theater, which has decent seats and a good picture. Make sure you check out the old school projector in the lobby, between the ticket booth and the food stand. Wicked cool!

Went to see the Movie Ouija. Usher kept coming in and asking for people to step out in the hall, which was highly distracting. Since I was towards the back I kept missing parts of the movie. The funny part? I could not tell you what the people were doing for him to want them to leave and come back into the movie. I am highly disappointed. On a positive note the movie was pretty good.

Very nice place! Only theater in 40 miles with sensory showings for people with special needs. Took my little sister(shes 10) to the movies for the first time. She had a blast. Kept say that she was so happy! Only comment would be to turn down the volume a little bit more she only got scared when there was really load explosions(btw it was despicable me 3)

This was my theater until I went to to take my son to the movies and they said nope we made the decision that only kids 16 and older can see that movie. I spent hundreds of dollars a month there but no more. Anyway how do you know if someone is 16 when many dont get ID cards till 18. Thanks for making this parents decions for him.

Lake Eight is more reasonably priced than the other theaters in the Akron area. $8 most nights, with Tuesdays being $5 nights and all matinees also $5. Concessions and reasonably priced as well. Usually very clean environement. Additionally, you can bring in food and drink items from Krave Cafe next door.

Only wish the chains would do it this well ! There is good seating for all without breaking your neck to close to the screen ,a staff that seems like they enjoy the job they do . Its clean & fair priced .My son & I hit several times a month. Not into purple but place is great !!

This is my revised review. It is still a five star experience but this theater is a hidden gem. I feel like i dont want everyone to know how great it is but you should experience this place. Just super clean and friendly. The way i wish all the big theaters were.!

Your basic movie theater. Clean, priced fairly and relatively comfortable seating. Just beware of theater 1. It may be big, but it was built without an incline so all the seats are the same level. Go on Tuesdays, tickets are only $5.

good Theatre , but even better on tuesdays 5$ admission to non 3D movies. I do remember this place having a small but very entertaining arcade i wish that would come back but i understand arcades are kinda a relic from the past.

One of the few places left to watch a movie that still has some character. Its an historic building right in downtown barberton. This is a much better movie watching experience then the Cineplexs that all look the same

Best, Best, Best, Price is great, popcorn is great! We always have a good time, best kept secret in Akron, wish I could get the word out or the Development Committee would, saves us so much money! Thank you!

I love this movie theater, nice & clean, mostly empty though, the most I seen it packed was when Straight Outta Compton played there which Im actually glad they brought it there . Diversity is everything !!

It was a very pleasant experience. Though they have eight screens, you feel like you are in and old fashion movie theater. The concession stand personal are very friendly. I would go back anytime.

Seats are cramped and uncomfortable, theyve probably been in use since the 80s. Picture quality is good... I believe they had new screens and projectors installed within the last year or two.

Are you tired of paying for poor service, broken seats, horrible popcorn? This is where on Tues. ALL seats are $5 and the service is always friendly! Best popcorn and brightest movies!

5 dollar Tuesdays are the best! Nice theater. Clean rooms and wonderful staff. Good prices all around even with concessions. Never go to cinemark or regal..too overpriced and crowed.

Historical movie theater which offers great movies at a good price. Located in Barberton just next to Kave Coffee and art bar. It is a very nice and clean theater. Would recommend.
