This is a very clean and well kept theater. The staff are very friendly and I have had no problems. I am very impressed at how well the restrooms are kept very clean. The only complaint I have is the post by an individual named Max. If you do not like the selection of movies, all you have to do is walk away. Most of the people working there are young. You cant just start out a job making $100,000 a year as you have to work your way up. I was very offended by your comments. In this economic downfall there are many benefits to working, even if it a second job, because of the perks that come along with it. Individuals working there actually save a lot of money as this company you complain about rips people off with their ridiculously high prices. I think it is a smart idea actually. As a high income, very successful business women, I may even consider joining what you call low class people, which are to me, high class for not sitting at home being lazy and depending on the government to feed them. There is nothing wrong with wanting to make extra money even if it involves handing out popcorn. Stop insulting people as that makes you look low class.

Went here a few times to watch movies. Sound dampening is absolutely amazing, if you get early enough where there is nobody in the theater, and scream or clap a few times, you will here absolutely no echo, it drowns you out. And if you stay quiet, its almost too quiet. Maybe it will drive you insane. Speaker positions are optimal for delivering the sound to every inch of the theater, and the picture of every movie I watch is just great because of the high quality projectors they use. Ive never ordered food here before so I cant say about that. Bathrooms are great, there has never been overflow while Ive been there due to the amount of facilities provided. If you really strict about spending, get tickets before 6 PM, as tickets for all movies are usually 8 dollars rather than the 10 dollars they are regular (assuming youre an adult).

The surroundings are fine, seats are fine, restrooms clean, etc, etc, etc. Heres the downsides: concessions are massively expensive----we got hit for $22.50 for 2 small corns + 2 medium cokes. Ridiculous. Plus, the high school kids behind the counter are just marking time---they dont care how long the line is or how long you stand there. So if youre going at a busy time, you better allow plenty of time to get your treats (& lots of $$$) or youll miss some of the show. We go to this place as infrequently as we can. Six Forks cinemas are much, much better & much cheaper.

While the facilities are certainly decent, the selection of movies always ranges from the biggest blockbusters to the biggest action flicks, and it seems to never show any cultural or independent films. For example, I wanted to go see one of the Best Picture nominees - only to find out that Marquee is playing 0/5 Best Picture nominees. And, it is the only theater in Raleigh, NC that makes their policy that you must be 18 to see R-rated films. All the other theaters are 17. Not like I care about the age requirement anymore, but just a warning for anyone out there.

went to see the Hobbit 3. the movie started late. the rooms are all freezing which makes no sense in the winter. the food is pricey. the clean up crew came in with a loud trashcan about twenty minutes before the end of the movie and ruined the ending. every staff member i met called me sir instead of maam which made me really uncomfortable and then i heard them laughing about it as i was walking away. not a good theater. only gave it the amount of stars i did because it was clean and the food tho overpriced was good at least.

For the prices they charge ($10 a ticket) they should NOT have big rips in their screens!!! Went to see Deadpool last night only to be staring right at a big very poorly taped HOLE in the screen. Extremely distracting. Also the sound was low and muffled. Will choose a nicer theater next time, like the one in North Hills. Also, the womens bathroom is disgusting, the soap is just pink water and the toilets were leaking and spraying from the pipes. The floors were soaked. Its been this way forever.

I see all the "overpriced" reviews...its a movie place, they are all over priced. This location is typically cleaner than the Carmike locations in town...a lot cleaner, but the teen crowd is a pain on the weekend running in and out and making noise. Parking sucks with the new family fun park opening next door. Less than average experience...but the food was good and the place was clean.

I walk in and get a mean look from the person at the counter but u know whatever I get a large popcorn drink combo and they give me the wrong candy and then the lady coughed on my popcorn and then he gave me back the wrong amount of change the seats were ripped and when I went to the bathroom its was all rundown and the vapegods were all in there over all it was poop

One of the most dirtiest, nasty movie theaters Ive ever been in. It was filthy from floor to ceiling. Every seat was either stained, ripped or had gum on it. One seat was wrapped in a plastic bag and who knows what may have been underneath it. I will never come here again, terrible experience. I could not wait until the movie was over so I could get out of there.

Staff was very unfriendly and when i got back incorrect change the cashier muttered something anti-Semitic and his friend and himself laughed. He then said that no one cares and i cant prove anything. Its sad that my experience was ruined before i even saw the movie, and the manager on duty almost flat out called me a lair when i reported it.

Only criminals will bring a gun here as this establishment is posted "no guns on property". Only law abiding people obey those signs. So that makes it moderately dangerous if a crazy is in the neighborhood. No-one is there to save you. As they say, "A cop is ten minutes away when you need one right now."

Wakefield Marquee Cinemas, do you have a reason for not showing A Birth Of A Nation at this particular movie theater? I am an avid Marquee Cinemas moviegoer - living in Wake Forest and am puzzled why I have to drive to the Carmike 15, instead of watching A Birth Of A Nation at my neighborhood?

The movie cut out multiple times. Went to speak to the manager who was a jerk from the start. He did end up refunding my tickets but he never once apologised and blamed it on power shortages, this has happened at this theatre to me twice now. The rest of the staff was kind and helpful.

Its no IMAX but its decent. It could you some update here and there, mostly the refreshment counter area. The theaters screening rooms are not bad. There have been several occasions where movies start with no sound and no explanation/refund but that hasnt happened recently.

BATHROOMS ARE SO CLEAN! I dont even go here to watch movies anymore, just to visit their bathroom. By the way this is sarcasm at the moron who said "Im impressed with how clean the bathrooms are". Who the F goes to a movie theater to visit the bathroom? Grow up weirdo..
