After reading some negative reviews thought I should counter with a more positive one. I am on my 5th night of staying. The lots are gravel but well maintained. The spaces are average size and compare reasonably to other places I have stayed. This is not a resort park but does have amenities. The WiFi was fabulous, I had no trouble getting on. They also have a book library and DVDs to loan. They have rotating managers. There is one who seemed more stern than the others, but all were very helpful. I had a propane leak and they helped me find a local mobile RV service who came out quickly to find leak (minor just a part change) and he didnt charge me for the call or labor! The bathrooms are clean and private they pick up trash regularly and the beach is close by. I have walked it every night while here and there were even whales not to mention tons of sand dollars. There are a few Amtrack trains who pass by, but it is during day and adds a soulful soundtrack. And the traffic is soft hum in the background, not bad at all. There are may shops/restaurants a short walk or drive near by. Try Fins at the beach entance for fabulous burgers and sea food. Finally met wonderful people; some here for a few months, some just passing through. I loved it here so did my English Springer Spaniel (very pet friendly). I unwound, relaxed and plan on a return visit.

Stayed at several parks along the coast last week and this one was the worst and only bad experience. First the good: Close to beach, thats it. Spots are small and all gravel, no trees, grass or anything to make it nice. Tough to get in and out, cramped all around. Nothing upscale like some places at the same price. Now, heres the worst part. Every other park we visited had good showers and such and allowed check in up till 7 at least. We arrived just before 5 and the office was closed and nobody was around. The check in box didnt have our info either. We finally located the folks that manage the park and they gave us the site but would NOT give us access to the bathrooms, stating that they need a deposit for the key and we couldnt get one until 9 the next morning. Even when I told them I was traveling with my two young daughters they just smugly shook their heads. Then they told me that they emphasize that all rvs must be "self contained". Emphasize where? They didnt mention this when we booked nor is it anywhere in their literature. Skip this place, they really are jerks.

Very difficult to review... Im not one to say anything negative but I would have wanted to know this information. The sites are small. Most are at a 90* angle to back in an RV. We were provided the smallest spot that would accommodate our trailer length. The spot backs up to the PCH, which is very noisy. Also, the train comes through many times a day and very early in the morning. They honk the horn the entire time they pass the park. Wi-fi was spotty at best. On the positive side, the area is within easy walking distance to the beach and a great restaurant called "Fins". The management team is very nice as well.

The spaces were very tight and 100% gravel. The people working there were very nice. Great access to the beach. As long as you arent backed up to the highway its pretty quiet. There was an old lady that I think is a permanent resident there that yelled at my wife for walking our dog telling her that she was on private property and she better not let him pee or poop when we always clean up after him. There was also a sewer vent pipe that would stink randomly and waft into our RV. We booked at the last minute and they did have one space left. Get a pull through spot if you can since they are much larger.

First stay at this park....the park itself was ok but the elderly lady running it was simply rude. I dont normally make reviews or comment but she was exceptionally difficult. I had arrived before the 2pm check in and she was upset that she was giving up her lunch time to check me in. I would have happily waited until 2 but she choose to register me....I suppose so I could listen to her tirade. I must conclude that this park does not need my business and I will not be back....anyone else who wishes or must stay here be forewarned.

Horribly RUDE Bitty at the registration desk. We politely asked if there was an opening for one night and her response was maybe. Then she saw our 29 foot Jayco in excellent shape (no cousin Eddie tenement on wheels) and asked the year. When we told her its a 1996, she said that was way too old for our resort....seriously, this was hardly a resort like the Ritz. While we had a good laugh about it later over drinks, her attitude was something we have never experienced while camping!

This gravel lot is tight, so be experienced backing in. We had a pull-through, but had issues leveling due to the shifting gravel. Its ok if loud trains dont bother you. The old folks who run the place are pleasant. Nice people and dogs everywhere. Good walking to the beach & sand dunes, but there is no view of the beach from the campsite and bring your own fire pit as there are no built-ins.

Well run RV park. Very clean restrooms and showers. All the hookups worked with no problems. Spent three nights there. The beach is an easy walk. Hwy 1 was pretty busy as was Am-Trac up and down the line but not too bad. (reason for 3 stars vs 5). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pretty tight for back in spaces but well priced and would stay there again.

I would not recommend. Very rude. Have reservations for over a month and was told we couldnt stay now because some of our decal is peeling. I said Ill see if we can fix it, her response very heartless. Said we are cancelling you. If you fix it well maybe let you in. Basically saying screw you

Visited family that was camping here. They liked it and said theyd be back. Everyone that walked by the trailer was friendly. No trees though. Its all concrete camping. Close to the railroad tracks so its probably noisy if you like to keep your windows open.

I would not recommend this rv park. They said they had WiFi which they didnt because it was being worked on. All gravel no area with grass for dog. The sites are really cramped in there. Will never stay there again.

New management is very poor. Dont have privacy and you get nitpicked for everything. NOT kid friendly and NOT family oriented. Definitely would NOT recommend!
