This is by far and I mean FAAARRR the absolute best theater in town. Their prices are fantastic during the week, I can take my entire family to the movies for less than 25 bucks! You would think for a price like that the theater would look ravaged but amazingly the damn place looks better than most others. They have oversized powered leather recliners for seats in the theaters to boot! And they recline, you can pretty much lay flat if you want to... If the other movie houses had half a brain they would pay attention to what this place is doing and how well they treat their customers. I even deliberately buy concessions from them, since I abhorred paying the ridiculous concession prices at the movies (WoW! a handful of M&Ms for only 5 bucks...What A Deal...Yeah Right!!!) I would sneak candy and soda in most other theaters. But this place you almost feel compelled to buy something since they are so fair and dont seek to rip your head off with a 13 dollar movie ticket. I know that sounds nerdy, but I actually do like to patronize honest businesses... If you havent been here, you definitely need to give it a try. One note though, to my knowledge the special pricing is for during the week only, Mon-Thurs. But still, its the best deal in Charlotte, hands down. Weve gotten spoiled and refuse to go anywhere else any more...

If you havent been to Starlight in a year or more you must visit. Each theater has been completely remodeled with black oversized leather seats and attached trays that rotate in front of you to sit food, wine, soda, etc. The seats recline almost supine. There are cup holders of course and a somewhat expanded choice of food and drinks including alcoholic beverages. +++++ NOTICE If you do go at night, especially in the summer, keep in mind that the big music pavilion is practically within walking distance from the theater I always go during the day on Tues or Wed. Its slower, and you can always get your first choice of seating. (Yes, there is assigned seating). If you have an AARP card you can get a discount on one of the popcorn combos f.y.I AMC at Concord Mills is nice with twice the movie selection. But when I leave there Im reminded of why Regal Starlight is my first choice. Half the traffic, eady access, its literally right off 485 at the Concord (hwy 29) exit and nothing beats those reclining seats. Just a note...the area is growing fast. New apartments are going up now, Wal-Mart will soon open a neighborhood store, and there is also a QT in the Starlight parking lot Enjoy one of Charlottes best kept secrets!

Id had negative experiences here in the past - not anything the staff could have done, just three consecutive equipment failures on three consecutive movie visits. The management was apologetic and responsive, but it kind of turned me off for a while. Now, I dont know why Id go anywhere else for a movie. The prices are good - especially when you understand the business model of a movie theater, and how much they have to charge for concessions just to break even - and the staff is friendly, and its way more convenient to campus than, say, Concord Mills. If I were to mark it down a star, it would only be for the ease of getting in to the lot - if youre coming up Tryon from campus, its a right turn where you have to merge into a lane coming off of the highway - and if theres any kind of race at the speedway when youre trying to get out there, plan on being early. Too early.

This is the normal choice of theater for me to watch movies, but todays experience has changed that. I was watching planet of the apes, but many people brought young children who talked for the whole 20 minutes of the movie prior to talking to a manager, which made me leave early. The manager gave me a readmission ticket, but when I asked if there was anyway to receive some type of refund, even a partial one, for the concessions I bought, he told me that it was not his problem. I even explained that the popcorn had a burnt flavor to it, but still no offer to give some kind of refund for it, even though the bag of popcorn was still mostly full. I had no problem with receiving a portion of a refund because I had eaten some of the popcorn, but nothing was done about this. I will no longer purchase concessions at this theater, If I do decide to return at all.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go to this movie theater. Your vehicle will get broken into by the thieves that prey on the cinemas parking lot. My vehicle and another guys vehicle got broken into here on the same night. The bad thing is, the cop made it clear that this was not an uncommon thing. The parking is horrible here and there arent any cameras that cover the parking lot. It seems as if the cinemas management doesnt care about the customers vehicles getting broken into or they would hire their own security like other cinemas. So if you want your vehicle broken into and your valuables stolen, then pay yourself a visit to Regal Starlight 14. As for myself, I know that I will never go there again.

Two stars only for seat comfortability. First off we got charged to use our free movie passes. This is very discouraging since they still apparently need money for entrance like its a once in a lifetime event. Secondly, the popcorn and drink came to a total of $15.82. I knew it would be expensive but for that price the popcorn was stale and the flavor shakers they advertise have to be bought! At the price I just paid it should be free!! When I asked about fresh popcorn the "manager" said they wouldnt make fresh popcorn until all of the current batch was used and I was basically out of luck. This is absolutely terrible and I doubt we will go back any time soon.

My husband left his phone on the seat when visiting this theater last. The phone was silenced in the movie so we know that was last place he had it. We were last to leave out as two employees came in to start cleaning after the movie was over. Noticed phone was missing after getting to the car, went back in immediately to look for it since next movie had not started, and to ask the staff about the phone. The phone was not found after very diligent search and staff said they had not found a phone. Not accusing anyone of anything but find it very suspicious that phone could not be found after 5-10 minutes in empty theater that was being cleaned as we exited.

We had planned to see the 1:25pm showing of jurassic world. When we arrived 15 min prior they informed us they had cancelled it. We are VERY upset! They had no sooner showings and offered us nothing for the inconvenience. There was a family of three in front of us who experienced the same issue but since they complained they were offered compensation...so even though we were right there complaining about the same thing! We were not apologized to or offered any compensation. The teller acted as if nothing was wrong I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed with the customer service... I love this theater but dont think I will be returning.
