Only open during weekends during June and three days in September. Requires prior reservations and tickets sell out quickly. Tours of the old theme park modeled on the Wizard of Oz led by Dorothy, who preforms several musical numbers as she leads smalls groups from the farm house in "Kansas" to the Emerald City. Audience participation! Located on top of Beech Mountain, NC and accessed by the ski resorts chairlift. Beautiful views!

This is tough. Its definitely a place to see if you are a Wizard of Oz fan and love historic places.... BUT the event organized once a year is really just a weekend of a very over crowded long single file line that takes 2 hours to walk thru. It is not kid friendly in that manner. The organization could be so much better. The thrill of being there was ruined by standing in one line for hours. Wouldnt do this again.

Kinda cheesy. Not really much of a tour other than a showing of where rides once stood at this former amusement theme park while "Dorothy" repeats lines from the movie and guests volunteer to portray other characters from the film. No flying monkeys, no munchkins, no real selection of merchandise at end of the tour, as they sold out (before we even got there) from previous 2 weeks tours.

It was like a childhood dream come true. Going down the Yellow Brick road is just a treat. You get to go inside Dorothys house, see the witchs castle, meet the wizard, and go through the whole story. It takes about an hour. The adults loved it as much as the kids. They have improved it since last year, and are adding more. There was NO line at all. We walked right in.

Land of Oz was great! I dont know whos bright idea to have biking there on the same day as Oz. Chairlifts were pure mud. May want to rethink about having riders on a different day then Oz. Not to mention I had on white shorts.

Had an awesome tour here. Its a really beautiful piece of property. If you get a chance to get a ticket and visit, its worth seeing!
