The only thing you need to investigate at the Scotland Yard Pub is the delicious burgers you will have served to your table. There is a Sherlock Holmes theme placed throughout the restaurant, as it gives you that originality of the history in the St. Paul Quarter. The interior of restaurant looks spectacular with the original paneling/marble still in tack from decades ago. Scotland Yard also has a nice outdoor patio to enjoy a cocktail with your friends around the neighborhood. The beer selection here is minimal, so dont expect to get that craft experience, and to just stick to the basics of a Sam Adams Seasonal blend. Now the menu for the most part can be a hit or miss if you do not know what exactly to order. The owner is super friendly, and of Asian descent, so I would highly recommend ordering food that is going to have that Asian flair mixed in with it. Scotland Yard is home to some of the best events in the neighborhood, such as their BIG Halloween Party and Keg/Eggs for St. Pattys Day. Prices here are extremely high, and the area is not that fully developed yet, so I can see where that can be harmful from a business stand-point. However, lets break down the menu so you know how to get the best bang for your buck. APPETIZERS: The Chicken Wings are FAMOUS, and well known at Scotland Yard because that have a distinct Korean flavor profile that is banging with flavor. You can tell these wings are battered, fried, and then hand-tossed after. I know the owner makes all of her sauces, and the Bourbon glaze is my favorite on the wings. You can taste the flavors of the bourbon, brown sugar, and soy sauce with hints of mustard flavors throughout. The wings themselves are juicy, and topped with sesame seeds giving you this bonus crunch. ENTREES: GET the Dragon Burger, as the signature dragon sauce on top is worth it alone. The burger itself was a HUGE thick patty cooked perfectly medium, and had passed the juiciness test when the interior of the burger patty is pressed with your fork. Having apple-wood smoked bacon delivers a better flavor in your burger, giving you a light refreshing citrus taste. The dragon sauce was blended perfectly with soy sauce, sesame oil, and a Korean Chili paste. Then to tie it all together, it was topped with crumbly bleu cheese. This is one of the BEST burger combinations I have tried here in Rochester!! Sherlock Holmes Burger- no mystery here as this burger also combined wonderful flavors bringing back memories of being at an Asian Market in Korea. The burger patty again cooked perfectly medium, but this time topped with crisp sautéed onions, and apple-wood smoked bacon. I also thought it was unique to combine this with black forest ham, but it all worked together perfectly. What really took it over the top was a perfect sunny-side up egg, which oozed perfectly when broke on top of everything else on the burger. Again this about combining ingredients smartly, which enhances the overall flavor of these burgers. SIDES: The French Fries failed to meet the marker as I thought they were ridiculously dry, and needed salt. They were also thinner cut which drained the flavor more, but I did enjoy the Garlic Aioli dipping side. Overall: some of the BEST Burgers in Rochester, a Korean Flair, Dragon Sauce, The Dragon Burger, Sherlock Holmes Burger, and CHICKEN WINGS...I Will Be Back.

Great place for a party! I hosted a very imprompto party here for my husband. I called the restaurant on a Tuesday and wanted to have the party that coming Sunday. I spoke with Nancy, the event coordinator, and she is FANTASTIC!!!! I can not express enough how wonderful she and the Scotland Yard Pub team were. Everything was great, the food, the atmosphere, the people!! (Need I say I had never been to the Scotland Yard Pub before this event). The food was great!! The pizza and wings were being talked about amongst family days after the party! I truly appreciated all of the help Nancy provided given such short notice and I was very impressed with how professional and friendly the Scotland Yard Pub crew is! I would definitely recommend this restaurant - for a party, for dinner, or just for drinks. They have a nice selection of some local brews on tap too! Cheers SYB! and Thanks!

Place was busy in afternoon. only two people working. they were definitely in the weeds. However, thought I was trying to help going to bar to get extra glass for pitcher of water as waiter did not return after out order was placed... waited 10 minutes at bar.. bartender went down the bar came back... started to clean dishes, etc... asked for a glass, continued to do dishes, walked away and served others... that annoyed me, planted myself right in the walk way and then expressed my concern to manager... understanding it was busy... but it was a simple request to help "them" out. After that food was ok. burger was burned on outside, medium as asked... pizza was quite good... may try again, not sure.

Place is nice, quiet but its Scotland Yard. Whats Scottish here? Maybe its our fault for not getting the places specialty, wood fired pizzas, bit of you pit it on the menu, it better stand on its own merits. I.e. the "Scotland Yard" burger - has a "kilt" of cheese: tacky at best, and interferes with eating it at worst. I understand the grilled chicken sandwich was pretty bland and they charged us an extra 50 pence (50 cents) for a smear of sauce on the bread. Ill give it another shot, but I hope it stands up a bit better next time.

For this area its a nice, relaxed, casual bar experience that has a pool table and their wings are delicious & just what ya want after a few drinks. I would go a step further and say they might just be the best wings ive had in Rochester altogether! Quantity is not so much the priority, but quality DEF is, so I dont mind it being a lil more pricey seeing as how u get amazing ass wings deep fried to super crispy perfection & i havent had wings like this in such a very, VERY long time, thus making it more than worthwhile IMHO!

Great joint, higher end bar food. Not just chicken wings and chips, it could be so much more. You can see some efforts in the place, the detail is missing, the mirrors at the bar are huge arches, but dirty, gorgeous bar but the finish needs a fresh coat of poly. Friendly staff. The kitchen bell could be updated with local page system.

Wonderful experience at the Scotland Yard Pub! A true New York City vibe in this long, narrow pub full of good people and food... love the attention to the camaraderie of the patrons. Food is "down-home" with a flair towards unique tastes.Very personable and engaged owners!

The food is on point, well seasoned & plentiful. The drinks are reasonably priced and the service is top notch. They provide a warm and hospitable atmosphere so bring your friends, let the drinks flow & be responsible (the parking is great in the evening).

Went on a Saturday and the place was dead. Over priced food for what you get. Got a pizza for $13 coulda made a better one at home twice the size for half the price. Lots of mozzarella and a few pepperoni. Weak drinks and the bartender was a butthole.
