I’ve been a member at the Y since I was a child, and many of my family are members. Today employees decided to scream at these Pokémon players, children, and adults. Many of which were members of the Y like myself. What if I took my kid to also play Pokémon at this location? A location I pay to be at. Would I have been treated with such disdain? Would my child have to hear employees yelling, cursing, threatening to start a fight. It was horrible to experience. It was inappropriate for an organization that promotes community unity to both threaten people who are members. I believe this locations employees may need a refresher on how to approach people and communication skills.

This is the best YMCA ever! Our son has been participating at Monroe YMCA since 2009. He has taken group swim classes, private swim lessons, indoor soccer (futsal), flag football and loved them all (well, he did not really like the swim classes, but he wouldnt have liked them anywhere else either). He has made great friends playing sports with Monroe. The Monroe YMCA has a great group of staff, families and community members. Its small enough that you will get to know people easily. YMCA staff are friendly and helpful. Please join. You will be glad you did.

What a great little community! Enjoyed the atmosphere here and everyone was always very friendly. Gym space and amenities are limited due to space, but check it out to see if it would meet your needs.

Visiting from KC and needed a body pump class. Yay - this place was easy to find, had adequate parking, friendly desk help and a great body pump class. So glad I stopped by!
