10/25/15: This nature preserve is an excellent break into nature that offers well-maintained hiking trails, adequate trail markers, and scenic views of natural resources. In this fall season, the entire area was abundantly colorful with the change in leaf colors. In addition, The trail system is separated and organized in such a way that you can take longer or shorter hikes. I cant wait to go again

This park has 10 miles of hiking trails with great views from some overlooks and a couple of beautiful reservoirs. The trails are a little steep in places, so come prepared for a workout and bring your boots! There is a parking lot on Northwood Drive.

While hiking in Apshawa Preserve a friend of mine was killed in 2014 by a black bear. Yes by a black bear. Its rare but it can happen, so beware.

Great little hike, saw 2 black bears about 50 ft from the blue trail so stay aware of your surroundings... the reservoir is beautiful...

American Revolution

Great place for hike. The parking lot is small but it doesnt seem to get too busy. Theres also no entrance fee so thats a big plus.

Clean did not see any bears. Some gasses do need to be cut a bit couldnt follow the path to well.

Nice hike. Couldnt see the waterfall but the reservoir is pretty.
