Well, I used to come here when it was Camp Midvale. I am in my 60s now. I remember as a child experiencing the smell of pine cones, pine needles and sap. I remember lightening bugs on cool summer nights and the stars shining against the black sky. I remember walking to the pool with my cousins and brothers and sisters. I remember our cabins each summer and when our dog Willy got sprayed by a skunk. The dormitory and the woods facing it where I buried some coins. I can Remember the plays they used to put on in the social hall and the piano I learned to play Chopsticks on. Hiking with my cousins and finding a charred cabin with pots and pans still hanging on a hook while looking at the mountains in the distance. I will always remember this place.
