I didnt realize this was a theater when I first drove by it. I thought it was a shopping mall. But no, it is just a freakishly huge theater! Upon entering I was greeted by the most energetic and fast-talking young woman I have ever met. She tried to convince me how awesome it would be to join the AMC Club (or something like that). With her excitement mounting and the speed of her speech increasing I felt increasingly like this was a good idea--despite the fact that I dont even live in the state and in all likelihood will never return in my life. When she paused for breath I snapped out of my trance and just bought a regular old ticket. I was super excited to find out that you get to put your own butter on the popcorn. Ive only ever seen this one other place (in Florida) where I filled a 16 oz. cup with butter and proceeded to indiviually dunk each piece of popcorn until my arteries clogged enough to give me chest pains. Not wanting another emergency room visit I steered clear of this epic offering. The seats were comfortable and the theater was not crowded. Bathrooms were clean and smelled like popcorn—which is fine with me. 4/5 Stars - Would return and dunk popcorn in butter again.

The theater is large, with many rooms and plenty of seats to accommodate viewers. However, the theater is not very clean. There always seems to be popcorn on the floor, or spilled soda. I understand this is to be expected at a theater that sees large traffic, but there are other theaters near the area that do not have this problem. Seating is plentiful, but the seats themselves are small and just your regular stadium seats. AMC Starplex, which is a 15 min drive from this theater, has AMAZING seating in terms of being comfortable. This theater also does not offer the option to pick a specific seat at time of purchase (maybe this feature is available online, but it is not so in person). Another AMC theater in Menlo Park Mall, which is also a ~15 min drive from here, is a dine-in theater. This theater is not. If you are looking to see an IMAX movie, this theater is for you (it offers IMAX). If you want a cheaper ticket with amazing seating, go to Starplex. If you want to eat dinner during the movie, go to Menlo. This theater seems old and doesnt seem to be upgrading its facilities.

The Food and Service is horrible at this location. My wife and were Not able to see the movie we wanted. We decided to just eat at the Bar/Cafe in the theater. It was already 9:30 pm on Saturday night. The food and service was Not good and over priced. The waiter messed up a simple order of Nachos and Quinoa burger. It took a good 45 mins to get the proper food we had ordered. Also they have the nerve to charge $5.19 for a simple Iced tea, that was loaded with sugar. The other customers also had a lot of issues and mistakes with their orders. The Food and drinks are over priced and the service was Not good. Also the manager did nothing. It was busy and they were under staffed. The manager should have helped out and try to prevent mistakes and errors. The waitress was tired and said her self "I dont order food and drinks here, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone." I felt bad for the staff.

I would honestly have to say this place has changed drastically. I worked here when they first opened up and was the guy standing at the humungous gum ball machine. This is now gone and there is very little staff when I showed up. Now keep in mind when I went here it was around 12pm and just wanted to see something in the movies since I went years ago. The chairs were not very clean and like all other cinemas the prices are always WAY overpriced. Thats not saying ill never go again, its more along the lines like they would need to do a lot of updating to their cinemas. Its pretty dated to be honest. It would need to be cleaned more thoroughly and why would you have exit doors if you cannot use them? I have always been keen to using the closest exit out and this isnt an option at this establishment. Def need some major work

One of my favorite movie theaters to go to even though it is a bit far away from my home. The people who work here are very nice and always looking to help you with what you need. I remember when I worked for AMC they always told us no matter what we were doing to help the customers and that philosophy holds true here. The theaters are big and there is plenty of room in the seats. I love going to an IMAX movie here as the screen is massive and the sound system is top notch. The concession stand is over priced but thats the same with all movie theaters. The quality of the food is not bad at all and they usually get the food out quick. Sometimes there is a line when a new movie comes out, so get there early is youre seeing a new release!

I disliked my last visit to this theatre because of how aggressively some of the concessions-counter workers push that lousy amc discount card. They are such smart, friendly young people, but sorely misguided. I should not have to debate why I do not want to sign-up after being asked three times by the same person, all while trying to get to my respective feature on time after standing in a fifteen-minute line —too much. This is precisely where notions of good customer service fall by the wayside. Lets all send a message by resisting the card! Unless youre going to the movies at least twice a week every week, it isnt worth your attention, but your sense of hassle-free good times should certainly be worth theirs.

My first time there, Sunday matinee for a kids movie. My first time using my stubs premiere. First, I couldnt get a signal to access my account. The people at the counter were very helpful & we got in. At concession: I am first in line for the stubs acct holders & though there was a regular line already formed on the other side, my stubs premiere "VIP" status was pointless because I had to wait anyway. Thankfully, a second staff member took care of the Stub holders in line. Again, no signal to use my $5 credit, again the girl handled my order and I used my credit. The theater was a little warm but not unbearable. Overall, it lacked a couple of things but the majority of the staff made up for it by being prompt and friendly.

One of my favorite movie theaters growing up, this was always a very cool place to go!!! Their prices are usually more expensive than most but you get what you pay for with mostly big, high-quality screens and usually great surround-sound system. They also have a selection of cool arcade games The maintenance of the place has gone a bit down hill with old seats and crumbling back parking lot; even the sound systems in the regular rooms are starting to show age. BUT, ever since they installed an IMAX screen in 2009, I have gone there most of the time to see my most anticipated movies. While the IMAX screen is not as big as some others you might see, the quality of their IMAX 2-D & 3-D has been truly awesome!!
