...so, Im in Las Vegas with a little time on my hands and consulted Google for local Jazz spots; references to The Dispensary filled the top 5 hits. Naturally, I had to check it out. As it happens, Ive lucked out and have the pleasure of catching an up and coming Jazz Diva, Naomi Mauro. Shes accompanied by the Uli Geissendoerfer Trio...just INCREDIBLE! While the music is TRULY amazing, you need to know the Dispensary is indeed a top notch venue. Proudly serving only "bar food", the atmosphere is intimate, inviting, and perfectly suited for great music with good people. Jennifer is serving me with a gorgeous smile and a warmth that simply brings it all together. Be sure to stop in and see for yourself.

Maybe the best dive bar in Las Vegas! And Im talking about the best that a true dive has to offer. Execellent atmosphere and awesome staff. Ear-candy live music of the Jazz variety. Dimly lit, cozy, warm, inviting, CLEAN. SOme fantastic pub grub to be had here as well. Try their burger. Wow, thats some bang for your buck! I sometimes hesitate to call a place a dive bar for fear of offending the owners but please understand I use this term with all respect in the world. A proper dive offers a sense of community for every attendee, from the first the very time they step through the door. No pretense, no nonsense.

Food looked great. But sat for a while waiting for the waiter. After watching him wait on another table saw him go and sit at the bar to chit chat with a customer. Was really hungry and could use a beer. After standing to catch his attention for a while, I decided to go next door to the Chinese food place. Not sure if it was because Im Mexican or just plain bad service. Either way go somewhere else if your looking for service, unless they are your buddies then gold service.

ROOSEVELT BURNSIDE

Thus was our first visit to the Dispensary. We were a little skeptical at first but once we overcame the staleness in the air (due to the cigarette smoke), we really enjoyed ourselves. The drinks were evenly balanced (great taste and strong enough for a buzz). The food was delicious and hot. The music.........the music AND ambiance is what makes this place so incredible. We will definitely be back for another date night.

Absolutely awesome place. Comfortable atmosphere, live jazz, and a well stocked bar. But the thing that I have to emphasize is the burgers. It is not an exaggeration to say that they have the best burgers in Las Vegas. The menu seems like it only has a burger and a cheeseburger but ask the chef what hes got or to make you what he feels like and he will blow the doors off your taste buds!

Service is meh. Takes forever, and you may or may not actually get your order. Bands dont start on time, so if you have a sitter at home, it may be problematic. Most of the crowd is a bit older. But, its amazing live music. Prices are okay, and isnt smokey. Easy to get to, easy parking, no casino to walk through first. 3.5 stars because Im a sucker for performances.

The only real jazz in Vegas. I searched the internet and this is all I could find. But they do the thing and do it right, at least they do on Wednesday night. They make a pretty decent cheeseburger as well. The prices are quite affordable so you will find mostly locals here instead of the touristy masses. It is a 15 minute uber from the strip so enjoy.

Worst service ever. My boyfriend and I even gambled for his birthday and didnt get free drinks after paying $40. Our food didnt arrive at the same time and were a half hour apart. The waitress was clueless. Also got charged for the music show that we didnt watch at all. I will never refer anyone here or return. So much for a birthday and vacation.

This is the only affordable place to really listen to live jazz in Vegas. It is small and dinky. It always feels cramped. The food is alright and the drinks are too, but the jazz artists can be questionable at times. I suppose thats up to taste. Besides the music and applause, the crowd is usually fairly quiet and more on the older side.

I absolutely Love this place, I go all the time with my boyfriend and have a few drinks and eating while listening to amazing people playing jazz, now their is a lot of older people but it really doesnt matter because its fun to see them all hyped up and having a good time.

What can I say to describe the dispensary...1976 called and it wants its bar back. The decor is mind blowing amazing, staff is cool, and the food is superb. I tell all my friends to go here. All it needs is some sideburns and knee high gym socks.

Great environment, not too smoky and great servers. We had a mishap at our table and the server not only helped us but also preserved our dignity. We really appreciated that. The jazz was fun and upbeat as well.

They have bed bugs. And what kind of bar has carpet in it? A really crappy one with "BED BUGS" in it. See attached photos really overpriced lousy service miserable 90yr old owner. Avoid at all costs!

This place is awsome! The staff is my favorite, as well as the food. Expect food to be more expensive on music nights, but well worth it considering the music is fabulous! I love this bar!!!!!
