I drove from Des Moines, Iowa, to Omaha for the Summer Punk Rock Flea Market at The Waiting Room. I saw no vintage LPs, CDs, cassettes, punk memorabilia, or punk clothing. What I did find is a few Hot Topic punk tee shirts and tote bags, lots of hand made trinkets/crafts, 2 for $10 posters of Batman and Harry Potter, and hand drawn pics of purple alien bunnies. Outside one of the patrons told me that each year the so called, "Summer Punk Rock Flea Market," is this way. It seems theyre using "punk" to capitalize on a cash trend. Therefore, call it the Summer Poser Flea Market cause none of what I saw today encompasses the punk ideology or vintage punk. Furthermore, it was a waste of gas, but thankfully we ate at Mammas Pizza and had something genuine for lunch before going home.

This is a great live music venue in a fun part of town. Theres a good mix of seating and standing room with bar tables and booths around the perimeter and plenty of space to stand and rock out in the middle. There wasnt a bad seat in the house. We got there right when the opening band started and were still able to find a couple seats. The most pleasant surprise was how great the sound was for a relatively small venue. The music was loud but very clear and well balanced. Probably one of the best concerts Ive been to sound-wise. The bar is conveniently located and they have a solid beer selection. It wasnt too pricey either. I will definitely be going back for another show sometime soon.

If you want dancing and FUN!! skip this place This is more like the sitting down in a bar and all there missing is netflix and blankets to fall asleep. Its why never gone back. The beer was ok. I didnt see much cultural colors of people. If youre latin, black, you will stand out big time and if you dont mind it and old boring music and cheap beer. The smoking bugged the most. Think it was before they passed laws. I was like only latin Woman there lol! I diff left after 1 hr of sitting in hell.

Just recently went after they remodeled and added a few dozen taps (up from four). Sound system is great, acoustics are pretty good, and the alcohol selection is much improved. Theyve also hired more staff to work events and added a second set of restrooms, so everything flows much better. The venue could use a bit more seating for some events (come right when the doors open if you want even the remotest chance of snagging one!) but all in all they use their limited space very well.

This venue is horrible! The staff is extremely cocky and rude and the security is by far the WORST I have encountered anywhere in the area, treating people so foul I will never go back. Unless there is some reason you simply cannot go elsewhere, I would avoid this hole in the wall at all cost, pricey drinks mixed with a attitude of a high school crowd. Even bands are doing shows elsewhere because this place is just bad!!

Ive been here twice once for Trampled by turtles and tonight for The Urge. The staff is wonderful, and quick. The building is really quite interesting, lots of history there. The drinks were cold &very reasonable, I even had red bull in mine! But most importantly THE SOUND! AMAZING!!! Been a lot of places and its in my top five for sound quality...go here for a show!

Good place to see shows, continually working to upgrade the experience. They have a good variety of beers on tap and in cans/bottles with okay prices. Plenty of space to not get bumped into. Best spot to watch a show - right in front of the sound booth. Second is directly behind the sound booth because there is a rail but you gotta get there early for that spot.

These guys were kind enough to let me chill after hours when my car was towed while I waited for someone to give me a lift home. (Be careful of where you park as the bar next door turns you in.) This place is great for chilling with your friends, and the room is small enough that each show feels personal.

Great local venue for live music! Located in Benson on main street, this music venue continues to bring in regional & national acts week after week. That’s got to be a tough job to keep everyone happy and without incident. Keep up the great work! We are lucky to have this place.

Warning! This place overbooks events and provides seating for, maybe, a dozen groups. They should be advertising themselves as the smallest concert hall on the planet. Its all about raking in the money. Over 500 tickets sold and, maybe, a couple dozen seats available. Smh.

Whooohooo I like the venue for all of the wonderful funky cool bands and performers they bring to Omaha. They host a variety of different things and I personally attend as much as I can! And the Benson area is flourishing with so many different places to visit before and after!

So expensive. The live band was so loud. Bad time for my group. Were 20-21, everyone else there was 35+. But there are no other 18+ clubs in this town. even the bars have bouncers around here. Save your money. Go to college, and then go to a real club when youre older

Definitely one of my favorite concert locations in Omaha. Im comfortable going to the Waiting Room alone which is a big plus. Prices are reasonable. The crowd can be iffy sometimes depending on who promoted the show but overall its a good vibe with good people.

The Wombats concert was loud, fun, and well-tuned. The avenue is a bit smaller and there is only one cramped bathroom for each gender with no full size stall in the mens room, so there is that. On the other hand, the drinks were good, so make of it was you will.

Wide variety of music, metal to country. Bartenders can usually keep pace even at sold out shows. They allow re-entry, so you can always pop out for a quick drink at another bar, or to use the bathroom at Jakes.

Would be 5 stars but there is always this one gentleman that bar tends that acts like he hates serving people and that I am an inconvenience to him. If i get a different bartender though its great.

Always have a blast when seeing bands here. The bar is sometimes difficult to be served at because of the amount of guests compared to bartenders but last time I was there this was not an issue.

Tons of awesome live music options. My only complaint is super limited seating and it can take ages to get a drink at the bar during a concert. they could definitely use some extra bartenders.

Nice venue. Good sound. Cant say much about the bar as I rarely drink. They were out of Mic Ultra last time I was there. Update: The first 3 bands vocals were way too loud tonight. Bummer.

One of the staples of the Omaha live music scene. Great beer and whisky selection. Good sound quality and the concert posters add an awesome feel to the layout. Worth a go!
