Do not come here unless you are willing to risk being assaulted. Never in my life have I ever been kicked out of an establishment. To make matters worse. Out of 25 people, none of us can figure out what would cause them to do this. Last Saturday was my birthday and it was me and 8 other friends, including another group of 15 friends. After reading past reviews, I should have seen that this place has a knack for kicking people out without cause or justification. Me and this wonderful lady I met that night were by the bar buying drinks when an employee and police officer decided to walk up and tell both of us we had to leave. I complied without hesitation. As we were walking I turned my head just to ask if they will tell me why when we get out. The employee said yes. The clear discrimination was apparent when we walked by the ladys friends and they pulled her to their group. After a brief discussion the police officer allowed her to stay, but said I still have to leave. When I was outside, the employee said something to the door man and left. I asked the doorman why they didnt tell me why I was kicked out. Then 3 police officers decide to assault me behind my back. They also did not tell me why they were doing this. They simply asked for my phone and proceeded to dial my friends at which point they let me go. I still have the scars on my wrist. Whiskey river you have a lot of nerve, when everyone including both groups of my friends saw no reason for us being kicked out. No one should visit here. It is more of a mafia than anything. Unneeded assaults on a paying customer is liable to have legal ramifications if you do this to someone more financially well-off in the future.

I have never felt DISCRIMINATED against, FOLLOWED, and WATCHED than I did at this establishment on Friday November 1st. I per-purchased 20 beers and two bottles and a large table. Why? Because we didnt go on the "BLACK FOLKS" night (Thursday). It was So bad that we all decided to go outside and 5 min. later the "Ex-Meth Head" "Owner" ran outside looking to see where my group of seven "Educated Professional Women" and two men were at. As soon as we were spotted The person that was watching us inside came outside along with 4 "Police Offices"... They stood there and watch us the entire night! And I forgot to mention that my husband and his two friends had to leave because his friend were "SAGGING". What 64 300lb man do you know wheres there pants above there large stomach? SO UNLESS YOU ARE OF THE CAUCASIAN PERSUASION dont go and if you do make it a"THURSDAY NIGHT". Thats when they dont mind people of COLOR!

Well I mean the guy in charge. Mr Fucktard enforced it on me. So much so that the cops slammed me on the concrete as I was walking backwards. Pinned me down and embarrassed me so much that I started to cry. I am so tired that I do not want to leave my friends house. I am sure I have a concussion. Along with multiple injuries including a numb arm. "Maybe you should not dress and act like that" "Put your shirt down It is policy" The woman, who look amazing, are not wearing there shirt down. I literally saw a woman ass and vagine on the dance floor I am a 16 year vet of dance. I am also a pro fighter and dancing is how I train for them . I was told I was trespassing at one point. Followed by I was detaine. Then a cop claimed I was drunk I do not drink denatured alcohol. I was buying drinks for woman. Not sure what to do from here. But I am in a world of pain

Today is New Years Eve and I just walked out of this establishment disgusted. My friends and I ordered the New Years Eve package costing a little over $250 dollars. I couldnt get it in because of my sweater. Im wearing a red express sweater, the doormen could not tell the difference between my red sweater and a thermal. So Im here. Its 11:30 P.M. and Im saying right now, that Whiskey River will never see another dollar out of me. I came here every weekend since August, and I usually have had a great time. But like other reviewers said, this place is going down hill fast, theyre fights every week, cars get broken into and on Thursday, especially, its very overcrowded. Im going to be taking my business to WILD WEST off of 59 for now on, its twenty minutes further, but that is how much Im am displeased.

3 years ago, I used to go here Thurs-Sat nights for an entire year, went back for New Years 2016 and havent been back. The outside DJ is a joke! He has no sense of getting with the times, playing old music from the early 2000s and doesnt even finish songs! Like cuts the song to the next one mid-sentence. He cant even mix from one song to the next. The guy needs to go to DJ school or something IDK but Im embarrassed I even invited anyone here to listen to his horribleness! Ill never go here again, Ill drive far for good music although this place is only 10 min from my house.

This place is racist the door man said that I have a twin brother and a few weeks ago I was giving him attitude. I dont have a twin brother. First off Ive never been here secondly Ive never been to Houston before. This is the way houston treats the military nice Im gonna remember that. Never coming back here again. The first impression of this place is horrible. Oh yeah the doorman was a heavier set Caucasian gentleman working on the night of 9-18-15 yeah he needs to be fired. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

This place sucks..Tried to go there with some friends recently. Had a group of 5 people, but we had about 12 other people coming up to meet us there. The bouncer up in the front denied entry of a member in our group because he had some stars tattooed on him. Stars!!! Wtf?! Our friend asked if he could just go get a long sleeve collar shirt, but he still said no. So we left and the other 12 people decided to follow us to Baker Street pub. Not the 1st time Ive heard this place has denied entry over something so stupid.
