Local theater does it right. Yeah, it is a multiplex in the heart of Aksarben Village. They have all the new things a modern movie house requires: concession stands, a bar, and big screens. What it also has are a god location in a happening part of the city. This is an urban experience in which you get Midwestern expectations: friendly staff and free parking. There is plenty of parking on the streets and in lots around Aksarben Village. At night, when the Blue Cross employees leave, you even get to use their parking garage for free. What a deal! The prices are a tiny bit higher than other theaters in the area, maybe 50 cents more on most days. They are a local business and I do not mind paying that little bit extra for someone with a vested interest in the city and keeping their customers happy. It is clean, tidy and efficient. They have automatic box office terminals that actually work (unlike another national chain that just cant keep theirs in operation at the mall not far away). They also have a human manning the real box office if you want to pay in cash or just see a smiling face. The nice thing about the concession stand is they have a Coke Freestyle dispenser that lets you pick what you want. I mean, I want a Coke Zero with raspberry flavoring. They hand you the cup and you get to choose the drink and how much ice you want. Who does not hate paying $& for a soda pop and getting 3/4 a container of ice? Discounts on Tuesday for $% a show dont hurt, either. It is a nice place worth visiting.

Until today I absolutely loved this place. I will never step foot in here again. Today my parents, 68 and 70, went there with the hopes of seeing the new 007. Please dont misunderstand this, I know that Aksarben cannot necessarily be held accountable for the actions of their patrons, but I was extremely upset when my mother informed me that she was stepped on and pushed aside by 2 different patrons at Aksarben. My mother is 68 and has severe arthritis. She has many nodules on her hands and feet, has had her knees and a hip replacement. One of these patrons, climbed under fabric "barrier" and stepped on both of her feet in order to cut ahead of my parents in line. This was an adult male who should be ashamed of his behavior for stepping on an elderly woman to cut in line . But I am less than happy that there was nothing placed in such a way that would prevent this from happening beyond the fabric barrier. The patrons act was absurd, but care should be taken to ensure the well being of any patron regardless of age. I cant help but to think what would have happened had I had been there and this man carelessly stepped on one of my little nieces or nephews I used to take there.

Located in the trendy AkSarBen area...its tough to find parking altho theres a garage in back. Clean & large stadium seating. Concessions are best price in town. Full American food menu & plenty of tables to eat at. *UPDATE* They have remodeled & now have reserved recliner seating. Looks nice but gets hot & crowded later. We bought tix for a matinee & was nice & cool. Decided to stay & purchased tix for a later feature. When we got to our seats the person in the assigned seat next to me had all her stuff & food on my seat. She was very put off when I asked her to please remove her items. There was nowhere to put your personal belongings so I see why she was so mad. This is exactly why in the end I hate recliner seating!!! Its so NOT fun sitting next to someone who hates you when watching a show. Just not enough space with the new chairs!!!!

This was the only theater I found tickets for on a Sunday night to watch a new release. I had been here previously and never had issues. I usually purchase tickets at ticket booth, but decided to buy tickets ahead online. When I ordered and paid for my tickets it did not specify that I would not be allowed to bring my children into the movie theater due to the classification being R. I arrived, printed my tickets out and handed them to the gentlemen to allow us in. He denied us. I got my money back and tickets to see another movie. I was furious that as the parent choosing to watch Deadpool with my kids was decided by a stupid theater rule that I was not informed by when I marked 3 child tickets online. Let parents make the choices for their own kids Aksarben. Never going back again. Not even to use their pity tickets.

The food wasnt too shabby, though I havent tried the bar, Ive heard the drinks are very exquisite. The snacks are what youd expect, but I wish the prices would drop because its A LOT cheaper to buy snacks at the convenience store--which you can sneak in and yes Ive done before. The tickets are at a fair price cause Midtown Cinema charges about the exact same price but boy do I LOVE the deals they have before noon time when tickets are like five bucks. Thats crazy! Overall the place is quite nice and where its located right by some of the best restaurants and taverns in the metro area. However, Ive heard that the bathrooms are haunted by strange ghosts who love to look at you when your going and boy it is not a pleasant experience. So now I dare not to use their facilities because of that fear.

At 4;45 today, the ticket taker said "your movie is straight back" and walked off. Since my options were only to go right or left at the immediate forked path, I followed him and asked if I should go right or left. He snapped "Its straight back" like I was stupid "you can go either way" like I could guess that from their confusing layout. Disgusting enough to complain to manager who didnt apologize for the disrespect.but said "thats what we tell everyone" like I was the one with the problem. Sorry to see from other reviews that gracious customer service skills are still so lacking. Never had to complain about staff at any other theatre. It was a real drag. Clean and comfortable however.

Best movie theater in Omaha by far. Nice, standard theaters with comfy enough chairs. (Im a fan of the big La-Z-Boy chairs, but Im not trying to fall asleep during a movie.) The price of their concessions is cheaper by $2 or $3 than most other theaters in town, plus they have a good variety and theres also a nice little bar toward the back of the building if you need a Cosmo during your viewing of Transformers. Also, they just started $5 Movie Tuesdays! $5 admission ALL DAY with discounted soda, popcorn, hot dogs, and beer, you cant beat that, like anywhere. Definitely a good bet for your next cinema outing.

clean theater but staff was very unhelpful and unorganized when asked anything besides the obvious, movie times! felt that my business was swept under the rug but I guess that is what to expect when all the staff seems like that this is just a summer job awaiting high school to start back. Dealflicks movies encouraged us for a family night out but was more of a hassle than enjoyment, spent so much time with staff that movie was more than 30mins in before sitting down which was so upsetting that we ended up leaving. Please encourage staff and MANAGEMENT to show a little more consideration for their customers.
