I booked the Cypress Room and Grill room for my wedding on June 16, 2012. Jen Champion was our wedding coordinator and she did an awesome service for us. I read some of the reviews for Old Hickory and was hesitant, but after I went to the venue and saw how beautiful and perfect it was for our ceremony and reception, and met with Jen, I went ahead and booked. Throughout the entire process, Jen was highly responsive and professional. An email NEVER went unanswered. She did everything she could to make sure the event went off without a hitch. She made suggestions when I needed them, and she was cool as a cucumber through everything. She is a class act and knows what she is doing. If you book at Old Hickory, I recommend trying to meet with her, as she did such an amazing job helping to plan our wedding from start to finish. (She was there until 10pm the night of the wedding asking if we needed a drink and if there was anything she could do for us. She went above and beyond and made us feel very special.) Old Hickory is a gorgeous venue...a hidden gem in St. Peters, really. We were married in the tree location which was shaded nicely on a 95 degree day. Our cocktail hour was off the grill room on the terrace and we rented the grill room/Cypress rooms for our dinner and reception. We really didnt have to do very much in the way of decorating because the clubhouse is pretty spectacular as it is. The dinner was delicious...we offered Filet, Tilapia, or Roasted Chicken. Our guests commented over and over on how good the dinner was, particularly the filet. I highly recommend Old Hickory if you are looking for an upscale feel to your wedding, but you dont want to pay an upscale price. I thought the booking was very reasonable for everything that we received. And remember to ask for Jen...she is the best!

It was okay working there but they made the employees eat back in the kitchen or it back by the dumpsters when they bought food. They were not accepted to sit at the bar or in the dining area no matter how nice they dressed. Made us feel like we were dogs. They need to think about the people did make that place turn for them. You should always treat people the way you want to be treated this general manager was very stuck on himself. Mr. Fancy suit and shiny shoes.I can say one thing Chef Lee is a really good organized guy and would go out of his way to make it nice for someone else! I can say all the workers in the back were really really nice. Everybody works really hard to make the appearance in the food taste great. It seemed like about 80% of the customers that came into the restaurant were stuck up. The other 20% were there workers that make the place in top condition.

I would give it no stars if I could. I tried for a week and half to get reservations for Mothers Day brunch 2017, this including several phone calls where I spoke to 4 different people, each one taking my name and number and assuring me they would have someone call me back and confirm reservations, as well a voicemail on the answering machine, as well as an email. I have yet to hear back from them. We simply wanted to take our mothers out for a nice brunch on Mothers Day and had hoped this would be a good option. But after a week and half of trying I gave up. I shouldnt have to beg for a reservation, clearly they do not need the business. So we will be going somewhere else for Mothers Day.

I am the father of the bride and we booked the venue on August 17 , 2013 . We also opted for the outdoor ceremony under the trees . We were blessed with perfect weather for an August wedding and the shaded tree area was beautiful . Katy was our wedding coordinator and handled EVERYTHING perfectly . I couldnt ask for a more perfect day . I was very stressed before the day as I am a worrywort , but that day , I was calm and really didnt have to do anything ! Every detail was attended to and the food was phenomenal . Everyone commented about how untypical the food was for a wedding . The workers are great ; busy , polite , and efficient . Again , Katy and the day were great !

Just a note: Old Hickory changed ownership about 2 years ago. Please note that the poor reviews here were before the ownership change! While I have not used the banquet services, I am a member of the golf club and every service Ive experienced has been very good. Wanted to rate a 5, but havent used banquet services, though I have been to several group events where they served us banquet style.

Bqt Department is run like the rest of the place. Name your price, no one pays the same amount for what they offer. Everything they agreed on to get us to book our reception they tried to back out on. Get it in writing from these people. They will sell you the bqt center and then 2 months before your reception you will find out they have rented half the room to another wedding.

My sister and I decided to give our Mother a surprise birthday brunch and we would like to say our compliments go out to the Old Hickory Staff and our waitress Jenny. She was absolutely pleasent and very accomodating. Great Job Jenny! The brunch was wonderful! Thanks for a great experience.

Do NOT book your wedding or reception here. Extremely poor customer service. They tend to make up charges on your final bill and good luck getting someone to discuss them. Brides beware, if you want your day to be special, stay away from Old Hickory!

Nice golf club, but Im not a member. Love this site for meetings and dining at their restaurant, Seasons! They do wonders with catering food and receptions. Highly recommend!

The facility is very impressive. There are three reception areas, outdoor amenities, public restaurant, and an awesome fireplace.
