Let me first start out by saying I have been apart of this golf course since I was a boy when my grandfather introduced the game of golf to me and my siblings. Over the last several years once Great Life took over the course I have experienced the worst golf course experiences of my life at this course, from being rudely assisted by the so called General Manager, who doesnt even know a thing about golf, to being rushed in game play because they wanted to go home early. The GM of this golf course is a joke and should be immediately pulled from this club. I attended one of the scrambles they had put on and not only did they have no professionalism with an event they held, but the GM kept the money from the purse saying that that was part of the fees when it was not and should have been paid to the winners of the scramble. Needless to say he waved around his big GM title and said he doesnt owe anyone anything. Another time I was out there, the marshal started us on the 10 because the front was crowded and The mens league threw a big fit because they didnt want anyone in front of them, keep in mind we are members and paid our dues as well, and the GM came out and interrupted our game play twice once to tell us that we shouldnt have went off on 10 and then interrupted us again to tell us to move to the 1 tee box saying that we werent supposed to be on the 10th when it was his staff who put us there. These are just two examples of the interactions I have had with a course that used to be my home base not to mention the high fees for a crab grass infested course with dirt spots every ten feet, not to mention the dandelion forrest on every hole, and stand traps that are full of dirt, not sand. I warn anyone that wishes to play here to beware of the GM and high prices because they will rush your play and act like you owe them because they want to go home early. The carts have to be in at 7:45pm no matter if there is still daylight because they want to go home early. And if you tell them that they will tell you to come play earlier. Sorry to break it to you the money that we are paying to play comes from a Job that we have to be at and that money will now be going to EAGLES LANDING WHERE THEY TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT AND UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR MONEY IS HARD EARNED! My family, friends, and myself have sworn to never play there again due to this course lack of understanding of how your should be treated. Unless the GM quits and prices drop.

I had so much fun playing this course I signed up for a membership. The people at the club house were very nice and found the Marshall’s to be helpful with the outline of the course. No it’s not a country club like Blue hills the course needs work, but at $29 a month and all the free golf if you walk, com’on, it’s a no brainer. I was really impressed with the greens, and most of the fairways. My insurance company is giving me a credit after I’ve been a member for 6 months since it’s a fitness center also.

Not a bad course at all.Challenging enough or a beginning golfer as myself. Lots of long drives which I can appreciate and some good part 3s. Decent price for 18 holes coming in at under $25 with a cart. Really my only complaint was the tee boxes were in terrible shape. The grass in the boxes was all dead and the ground was almost to hard to get a tee in the ground and none of them were level what so ever to get a good stance on.

A Stroke of Color

River Oaks is an affordable golf course for seniors unlimited funds. This is not a four star golf course as you would rate of four star golf course. The areaand housing around it its pretty dangerous with high crime rate. If youre playing it for under 25 bucks in River Oaks is worth it.

Its Ok..for $20.00 with cart..thats fine..but no more than that..bermuda fairways.not my favorite but that is my preference..greens are slower than avg..Good for seniors from the white tees..
