My friends and I went to the “Concert on the Hill” with Dr. Zhivegas. I found the wine quality to be decent and reasonably priced. Sugar Creek is a beautiful property and they have put a lot of time and effort into the location and patios. I would certainly enjoy returning. I do think they completely fail on customer service. A trip to the winery is at least 30 minutes travel time and you’re pretty isolated. I think that they should be making sure enough information is in place so there is not so much confusion with visiting these events. With all of the social media and web site options, the lack of missing and incorrect information is completely unacceptable. First, the event information didn’t specify details about food options, outside vaguely saying there would be some food. If you’re coming from the website it encourages you to bring food, but says there are meat and cheese plate options. I don’t see any reason to believe the event would be different. However, upon arrival it turns out it was a catered event and many customers were asked to return their food back to their car. I thought that was pretty rude. My friends and I would have been fine with purchasing food on site, but not after going through the trouble and expense of providing our own. The bar also had credit card options, but the food was cash only. This wasn’t a big deal except the online info specified everything was cash only. As far as other issues, there was a $10 cover per person, which was vaguely mentioned on a Facebook post the day of the event, but not on the web site. The event was listed as 6pm to 9pm, but Dr. Zhivegas only played until 8pm. There was a DJ and I’m sure it was intended to mean the entire event was 6-9. There were a lot of customers disappointed. Also, a couple of signs pointing out where the restrooms are located and that the main building was closed would have gone a long way that evening. They have put so much effort into the property itself, it’s surprising the event info was so poor. Anyone with a smart phone could have taken 5 minutes to make sure everyone traveling 30+ minutes was taken care of.

To the owners, especially the lady: I was disappointed how you embarrassed yourself on 8/26/2017. Our group goes to your winery for my wifes birthday every year. We were at your place for 4 hours with no issues. Your staff was friendly, turned on fans and asked how were were doing. We bought several bottles of wine, beer, soda and water. You approached us as we were cleaning up and told us this was no place for a picnic and that we needed to leave because you were hosting a wedding. Your overly aggressive and unfriendly rude attitude has made us uncomfortable with Sugar Creek Winery. You ruined our experience. We will not return.

The drive was a beauty in itself. With both inside and outside seating, and owners/staff as nice as can be, I wouldnt hesitate to check this place out. Very well maintained, exquisite view, and reasonably priced wine. You cannot go wrong visiting here. We joined one of the tasting events. The wine was delicious and extremely well matched with the food. The food alone was worth the $$$ we paid!

This place was over-crowded and their wines were too expensive. I went there with my brother and we tried 2 of their wines out of plastic cups. Why do you want to charge $30/bottle and give me a plastic cup? The crowd was loud and the patio area didnt have a view. There was no live music on a Saturday around noon. Keep moving on. Theres better wineries down the road.

Was on vacation from Florida to celebrate mine and my girlfriends birthdays. The winery itself and the surrounding countryside are stunningly beautiful. The prices and ambience are great, and the wine itself is simply stunning. If you want a wonderful, quiet place to relax and converse, this is definitely for you. Thank you Sugar Creek for the memories and great conversation!

Music starts at 1:00pm and goes to 5:00pm both Saturdays and Sundays untill the end of October. The crowds just show how popular this winery really is. The wines are priced the same as or less than all the other wineries. This is one of the two or three remaining wineries that continue to let you bring in your own food but no beverages including water.

Wow!!! The guy just profiled me because of my tattoos and kept asking us to pay up front for our tasting. Little does he know, but we buy lots of wine. His loss, as we will not be back.

We came to Sugar Creek on a Saturday. The music was great. The crowd was not so tight- ass as other wineries that we went to. It was a good experience for first time winery visitors.

This place is a dump, the wine is garbage and I would recommend eating elsewhere. The staff is rude and it is in the middle of nowhere, go somewhere else.

The owners and wine master were very friendly and accomadating. Pricing was acceptable and the fact they make their own is great. Enjoyed it extremely.

Not a bad place, selection was sparse and priced pretty highly in comparison to other wineries in the area. Overall, not bad but not my favorite.

This winery is one of the best in the area!! Good wine, awesome scenery, friendly staff, and there was live music the day we went.

Really liked Sugar Creek. The wines live up to the name and are super sweet. Beautiful hillside. They have concerts on weekends.
