I took my wife here as a surprise for Valentines day. After reading all the reviews, I was very hopeful that it would be a great night out for us. We had paid for a babysitter, and this was the first date we had had in a long time. From the start, the experience was a complete nightmare. I made reservations for the Valentines 3-course dinner a week or two ahead of time. The hostess attempted to seat us in the back room of the restaurant, where a TV with a basketball game was playing, rather than the front where the live music and special tables were set up. After she reluctantly got us a table in the main dining area, it took 20 minutes for a waitress to come over, and another 5 to receive our waters. Each course of the meal was supposed to be paired with a glass of wine. Each time, our wine came out 10-15 minutes earlier than the course, meaning we had to wait to drink it in order to pair it.. The service was the most AWFUL I have ever experienced. It took about an hour just to get to the entree portion. It took an hour and 30 minutes into our meal before the waitress realized she hadnt brought the dessert course out, and then another 20 to get the dessert. By this time, wed already been finished with our entree for about half an hour. The waitress then told us that they were out of the chocolate cheesecake my wife had ordered at the beginning of our meal. However, not 5 minutes later, the table next to us received two slices of the cheesecake. Another table hadnt even received their entree by the time we finished ours, yet they still managed to receive their desserts and check before wed even had our dessert. I normally would have been a little more proactive in catching our waitresss attention to see why the meal was taking so long, but our waitress was almost non-existent the whole night. When I approached the manager about our long delay, he was very unapologetic and made no attempt to remedy the situation outside of refilling my wifes dessert wine, which had been finished 20 minutes prior to receiving the dessert. In terms of food, the shrimp bisque was good; the shrimp were cold, but the bisque was good. My wifes steak, requested at medium, came out well done but she still liked the flavor. The "Chilean Sea Bass" tasted like a thick piece of tilapia with grocery store pesto on top. The lobster mashed potatoes were literally just mashed potatoes with tough lobster claw in them; I guess I was expecting more. The plates were very plain; presentation was obviously not a concern. We were given paper napkins. Simply put, this was the worst possible experience I could have had for Valentines day with my wife, and it ruined the rest of the evening for us.

What a gem to find in St. Peters! The food is delicious, though the options are a little limited... for a gourmet restaurant. For a whiskey bar (which it does extremely well),, wads the menu is staggeringly varied and imaginative. Theyve done their best to be locally sourced, including a lot of organic. The flatiron steak was fantastic, with a surprisingly good reduction. Which leads me to the wine tasting. I took advantage of their bar side wine tasting, which featured all Missouri wines. They tended towards the sweet, which isnt my preference, but all were solid. .. good sourcing. The "Roundhouse Red" went well with the steak, so I elected for a glass of that. The "Duck Creek Red" has a high sugar content, so would fit nicely as a dessert wine. TL/DR: Nice place to eat for casual classy food. Good whisky/wine bar. Locally sourced food and wine.

Amazing!!! I rented the private room for a surprise party. Everything was simply amazing. I had 25 people there. Our waiter Dylan was taking care of the whole room by himself. He did an outstanding job!!! He remembered what everyone was drinking. No one ever had to ask for a refill. The drinks from the bar were incredible. The food was so good. The chef did a fantastic job. The cheesecake he made was to die for. One of the best I have ever had. From the planning with the staff to the whole evening of our event was effortless. I cant say enough good things about this place. I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Birthday celebration for 10. One couple ordered pretzels right away. 50 minutes later the pretzels arrived. The next hour and a half the food arrived. 1 plate at a time. Probably worst dining experience ever. The waitress was awesome and kept apologizing but it was not her fault. Ask to speak to the manager. He never showed up. He did however charge us full price but gave us $5 off coupons for next visit. I gave mine to another table because I will never be back. got there at 6:30 and was done at 9:30.

Every time weve been to The Rack House it has been a great experience. Weve attended various events that theyve hosted and had a blast! They do not disappoint when it comes to the delicious food, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Every meal Ive eaten there has been like nothing Ive had before. The bacon kettle corn, mushroom flatbread, crab cakes, and smoked brisket are some of my favorites. They have so many great dishes that its hard to just have one favorite! I would definitely recommend checking it out!

This is a great winery for some local Missouri wines. They also have an awesome whiskey selection. The cigar lounge, banquet room and patio space just add to the awesomeness of this place. The staff are excellent and know their stuff. They have great music on the weekends and special events that you should follow. They have a lunch, wine and whiskey punch cards that get you FREE stuff as well.

I went with a friend for lunch. I had a flight of semi-dry whites that were looking very good. I also got the margherita flatbread pizza, which was very tasty and the perfect amount for lunch. The patio is a good place to sit on a beautiful day, but there was a little traffic noise. The wait staff and manager were all very friendly and attentive.

Had a wonderful lunch so that we could try the food before deciding to reserve the private dinning area. The event planner was sitting a few tables away. We asked the server if she could come talk to us. The event planner never came over. We could see her sorting cards. She was "to busy" to come make this business any money.

Great local establishment focused on Customer Service while offering above average selection of wine. Nice quaint patio to relax on while relaxing with friends. The staff was attentive and offered advice on selections without being pushy. Ill most definitely be back.

Rack House has been a solid addition to the dining landscape of St. Charles County for several years now, but their recent food and drink menu upgrade have elevated their status even further. Whether you stop by for lunch or dinner, you wont be disappointed.
