The Isle of Capri in Cape Girardeau has many things to offer you. There are a wide variety of table games, a generous amount of different variations of slot machines and you can could always try Poker if the game suits you. Ive never been one to complain how things do or dont pay out. (Its called gambling for a reason) However, my review is for those patrons who are looking for a place to frequent that offers impeccable customer service. I wish that I could say that The Isle is outstanding when it comes to customer service, but sadly it is not. There are those few employees who shine through and do an amazing job but there are also those that are less than favorable. There seems to be an issue here with keeping Hosts on Staff also. I personally, as a player, prefer to know that I have someone that I can turn to. Someone who knows what I like and can cater to my preferences. But again, this doesnt seem to be able to be done well at this particular location. My second complaint would be when it comes to their waitresses. They need to hire more and they need to have more on the floor at one time. One person to work the entire floor is NOT enough. I am a fan of this casino and will rate it accordingly. Their buffet is fabulous and worth every penny no matter what night of the week you go there to eat. The steak house is a complete waste of money. In the several years that I have eaten there I have never had a steak cooked properly and even though I am offered through comps to eat there for free every week I choose not to. The bar upstairs serves the best drinks and has the friendliest and most knowledgeable bar staff that Ive seen in a long time. And the river views from that bar or on the outside terrace are simply breathtaking. So, in conclusion, dont pass on the Isle, but just be aware that even after almost three years they still need to do a great deal to work on their customer service. Keasha Drury

My car was hit while I was inside playing, a casino security officer was alerted by a valet attendant and the security lady went above and beyond by locating me on the casino floor and informing me of what had occured. She was able to provide video footage of the hit and run vehicle, as well as identify the person that had been dropped off by that vehicle, luckily he was still on the property and she was able to identify and locate him. The security staff also contacted the police department, and due to the diligence of the staff, the police officer was able to obtain the information needed to find out who the driver was as well as the other necessary info in order to avoid having to file the claim through my insurance company, which in turn results in my insurance rates going up. Unfortunately, Ive been through a couple of hit and run occurrences, as well as uninsured drivers hitting my vehicle, it always seems to cause my insurance rates to increase, despite having full coverage in every occurrence. I am so thankful for the attentiveness of the casino staff! Im not a "high roller" by any means, so in no way would they have any reason to show me any "special attention", lol, I usually play the penny slots, and I never play the card games or roulette. I just want to share my gratitude for the assistance I received, which I believe is absolutely above and beyond any help I would have gotten had I been anywhere else! I would like to say thank you so very much for such attentive staff members and the amazing teamwork that certainly saved me alot of trouble and money at the very least!

I visit the casino regularly, since it opened, and ALWAYS have a great time. Win some ,lose some..Thats gambling. Its entertainment! Ive brought many friends there to enjoy it as well. From the food,to the surroundings to the staff... EVERYTHING is A++. My only gripe is on a $1 10X pay machine,I had been at the casino about 6hrs,was up $140,when I put $20 into the machine and betted the max quite a few times. Won some, lost some as is usual, but when I spun and hit (all were lined up perfectly on the pay line) a 10x 10x triple bars...It didnt pay. I hit the call light for an attendant, who came and I showed her the screen, which still showed I placed the max bet (look at my history,I always bet max)still showed the winning combo. She in turn, went and got someone who opened the machine, basically looked at it,and said he couldnt tell if Id printed a voucher with the winnings or not and then closed the machine. Didnt write down anything in his book like they do when opening a machine. Basically Im told nothing except sorry and to spin it off and see what happens. This is lousy customer service, and I still give the place 5 stars because its clean, comfortable open and airy. Id like to know what they can do about what happened,as they left me hanging and left a bad taste in my mouth for their poor handling of it.

My wife and I have played for many years all over the country. I, tables. Her, slots. The place is clean and open. Restaurants look nice with varied choices. I was asked to give back a bet by the floor lady. She said that it was paid and should not have been. This was many hands later while playing a different deck altogether. I could not recall this happening. I was rudely told "well the thousand cameras saw it, so it happened". This is the first time in 20+ years that a casino ordered me to pay a minimum table bet back after many hands and a different deck. Maybe, instead of harrassing your customers and making and awkward/uncomfortable situation for them, hold your dealers or floor people accountable to do their jobs in the moment. If I told the dealer I realized he paid me out incorrectly on a hand 20 minutes ago, would you pay me just because I said it was so? Of course you would not! Since I was not interested in paying, My wife and I were left cashing out and leaving as our only option. I left respectfully without drama. I wish your casino would have done the same. This casino is the closest to me and I am a 25-100.00 per hand player, this is only the 2nd time I have visited and will likely be my last.

The payout is very low - the money i play for a half hour here lasts me hours elsewhere. Mismanaged - they keep taking benefits away. That makes people mad - including me. A casino in St. Louis gives me 60 a week to play yet this place (which Ive spent much more money with because its much closer) gives me 15 to play with. The food quality and quantity in the buffet has gone waaay down. The only reason i rate it 3 stars is because the employees are very, very nice. Friendly and helpful.

I go to your casino at least twice weekly spending a fortune each time because your machines are so tight there is no payback. Your appreciation is shown by cutting my weekly cash comp down to $20. I know people who get $50 and $60. The people who support you the most get the least. I dont have to gamble at your casino and wont if this is the way you reward your people who have been loyal to you. $20 isnt worth the drive to your doors so.....
