The hotel room was overpriced for what you get. No safe, no refrigerator, no tub. The room was clean but the toilet was not working properly. You had to flush twice to get everything out of there. There was rust in the shower. The air vents were dusty and dirty. They need to be training the housekeepers to clean EVERYTHING. For a 2 night stay I paid 268.00 dollars. For that, you would think the above issues would be taken care of. Also, for that price, the bedding should be not just a spread and one flimsy sheet.....but a down comforter. I nearly froze to death and the heat was on!!! The walls are thin so you could hear the noise of families down the hall and the conversations in the rooms next to yours. I had to kill several bugs on the window. The casino has to be the smokiest casino I have ever been in. The slots are very tight as well. There are three floors to the Casino...floors 2 and 3 are smoking and floor 1 is non-smoking. But even floor 1 reeks of cigarette smoke. Uggh!! The "Temptations Buffet" was overpriced as well for what you get. I ate breakfast and supper there. The breakfast was pretty good except for the pan cakes. They were hard and tasted like rubber. I obviously got there to scrape the bottom of the barrel for them and it didnt look like they were going to bring out any fresh ones. Supper was o.k. but the dessert options were practically non existent. There were 2 or 3 parfaits and 4 slices of a chocolate cake that looked and tasted stale...as if they were having a hard time getting rid of it. Definitely not good. I tried Evansville because I live in Nashville, TN and the 2 hour drive is better than the 4 hour drive to Tunica. But it isnt worth it for what you get. Its better to drive the two extra hours and get your hotels comped at Tunica and have more variety of casinos and slots than to go Evansville because its closer and have a mediocre experience.

You must be 21 years old to enter the boat. Thats right, your on a boat. You cant feel it rock or anything, and it does not leave shore. It is open 24/7. We go to Tropicana every month. Its the best casino in that area. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and affordable. They have a very nice buffet on the weekends located inside the hotel. They also have room service available if you would rather have breakfast in bed. (Trust me Go to the buffet. You wont be disappointed with it.) There is also 3 other restaurants located across the Skywalk inside the lobby of Tropicana before you enter the walking dock. Max and Ermas ( $$-$$$ Burgers, Pasta, Seafood) Cavanaughs ( $$$$ upscale expensive steaks, seafood and wines) Mama Mias ($$-$$$ Italian type. Pasta, Calzones, Artisan pizzas) When you arrive sign up for the Trop Advantage card and play, you earn points. With those points you can get benefits like free hotel room stays, free comp for meals, free slot or table play. We recently earned a free 3 night stay at Tropicana Atlantic City, New Jersey. It was amazing to get to see the ocean, all because Im a Tropicana member who comes plays, has fun and hopefully wins some money in the process. They do need to put some newer games in, a few are out of date and stop taking the ones everyone loves away. The waitresses are far and few in between. Those little bitty sodas or water bottles are free of charge, they do serve alcohol but that will cost you. The casino is 3 floors all of which are handicap accessible via elevator. The 1st floor is nonsmoking and also has a deli. It has a variety of things to eat from burgers and hot dogs to sandwiches and nachos. Floors 2 and 3 has your slots ranging from penny to dollar. Card tables for you Blackjack, Texas Holdem, Mississippi Stud and others. Theres caps and roulette. Something for everyone at Tropicana!

I use to go quite a bit until I moved out of state. I recently went back to stay while visiting friends and couldnt believe how much things changed or maybe I have more places to compare with. The smoke smell was absolutely terrible, not only in the casino but in the hotel as well. I am a former smoker so smoke doesnt typically bother me, but this simply wreaked of weeks of stale smoke. The dealers were very unfriendly, almost no interaction with the guest at all. I typically dont like to bet roulette until after the dealer releases the ball, however once the dealer realized how I was betting he started immediately waving me off and had the pit boss stand next to me, even though I hadnt won a single hand. I gave them over $300 gambling plus hotel and food and they made me feel as I was imposing. I had reserved the room for 2 nights and when I checked out I volunteered I was checking out early (1 night) due to the overwhelming smoke smell. I didnt even get a blink out of the desk clerk, an apology, or an attempt to fix the situation. I personally would be concerned for Evansville if they are simply going to build a new "land based" casino if they arent going to do anything to clean up their current operations. Evansville does not need a run down building taking up space downtown. Clean up what you have before you expand! After seeing several other casinos, this one is not even close in comparison to ones that actually have respect for their guest. You can see the lack of concern for guest opinions from absolutely no corporate responses to any of these reviews.

We went today to the casino just our second time to go and it will be our last time. One thing the smoking is out of control even very strong on the first floor where there is suppose to be no smoking. We ate at the over priced buffet which playing like we normally do at Metropolis we always get comped food. Shortly after I ate the buffet I started feeling very sick like I had food poisoning and when we went down to first floor to start to play some more i was still feeling very bad like i was going to vomit very soon. I went to the only bathroom on that floor to see a guy cleaning it I told him that i was very sick and I needed to get in there Logan is his name told me it was closed for cleaning and that I could go to one of the other ones on the other floors well being that both floors are covered in smoke and I knew I would not make it I told him that he was going to have a bigger mess to clean up. He then said that I could get there quicker than the one he was cleaning. My husband finally told him to hurry up and I almost did not make it. I then told one of the managers on duty did not get his name he took my name and the information and said he would speak to him. I just feel like for what we spend and do we have alot more enjoyable experience at Metropolis or Tunica than there and they are alot cleaner and have more of a professional staff. Not impressed at all.
