We booked a hotel there for the weekend at the beach hotel. The rooms were okay. We had a good view, but the window were dirty on the outside so it was like looking at something with a dirty lens. The room was okay, no problems there, the gaming went well. We actually came out on top. So everything was going okay until we ordered food from the C and G grill. It was late and we just wanted to order a couple of burger and some fries to go. Nothing fancy. I specifically told the cashier that we wanted the burgers well done. We get our food go back up to the room I started eating my burger and notice it was softer that I had, had before when I ate there. So I lift my bun up to check it out and it is raw in the middle of my burger and my fiancés burger as well. We call ahead to let them know that we are bring the burgers back at that time my stomach starts hurting, but I rush back to restaurant. When I get there I tell the cashier what happened she calls the supervisor, she comes up looks at me and goes straight to the burgers to conduct her own examination. She then goes to the register and asked for my receipt, luckily I kept it. She comes back and says that your monies have been put back on your card and you were not charged. No apology, not even a look of concern that we had just received raw hamburger meat. She did not even offer to remake the food for us. I told her that we would rather have the food remade so we could have something to eat tonight, she said that is all she could do and they would not remake the food. Keep in mind we just at raw food and she acted as if I was holding up, because I wanted the food remade. The lack of customer service and compassion was on full display and it definitely ruined my trip. The name of the C and G supervisor was Jamie Goodman(not sure about the last name), I hope you never have to call on her for help because she doesnt give a damn about the Island View customers. I didnt really know who to complain to but I will send this message to other island view complaint boxes. If you eat at C and G make sure you check you food before you leave so this does not happened to you. I would have gave this place more stars because we did have a good time, but this casino has to know that they are responsible for the people they hire and this lady should not be in a supervisory position if she cant take care of the customers in away were they want to come back even after a mistake like this. I will avoid this place on my next trip. Thanks for ruining my trip Jamie at the C and G grill.

The Island View is on the beach. One side of the casino is on the South side of Hwy 90 (directly on the beach). The other side is directly across Hwy 90 on the North side of Hwy 90. The two buildings are connected by a breezeway to avoid walking across Hwy 90 or driving across to the other side. Shuttle services are available by this casino as well. During many Gulf Coast events and Music festivals the Island View Casino provides FREE shuttle buses to transport guests to and from these events. Shuttles have air, heat, tinted windows and spacious seating. The shuttles are slightly larger than a van and not nearly as large as a school bus. This is one of the smaller casinos on the MS Gulf Coast, but its growing and has all of the amenities of the large casinos. Theres a hotel, spa and pool for guests. It has several restaurants with a variety of foods with a good range of prices depending on what you want to spend. Theres a small club/bar thats off the casino floor. This club/bar area is also where the entertainment is set up. Sometimes the entertainment/celebrities/bands are well known on a national level. Other times there are artists/bands that are well known locally on the Gulf Coast and surrounding areas. There are several bars on the actual casino floor conveniently spaced out. One of these bars is a sports bar with several TVs showing games or sporting events year round. The casino has a nice variety of games that feature a variety of bets available for the slot machines. There are plenty of table games - all the ones you will see in larger casinos. They have card tournaments here as well. The casino is located in Gulfport, but in an area that doesnt generally have heavy traffic issues. Locals enjoy this casino very much. However, the hotel is always busy with guests staying from out of town. Being locals we enjoy this casino very much. All staff are friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean. All food areas are clean. Weve even stayed in the hotel a few times and its very nice. Easily comparable to hotel rooms like the Hard Rock or Beau Rivage. Highly recommend!

We ate at the Steamer Restaurant. We longtime local residents currently living inBay Waveland. Our waiter Mark was attentive and knowledgable of the menu selections and suggested the catch of the day, grilled grouper with pecans and a maple glaze. We opted for the wood grilled oysters and artichoke hearts with crab for appetizers. "Warmed" bread was provided with a side of butter. The oysters arrived overcooked with burnt cheese and had no liquor left. The artichoke hearts were from a can and placed in a oval dish covered with crab salad and bread crumbs and put under the broiler to brown the crumbs, basically flavorless. I opted for the blackened redfish and Pam ordered the soft shell crabs. The house salad, a delightful mix of greens with yellow and red tomatoes topped with bacon and cheese was surpisingly delicious served with a white balsamic vinagrette on the side. The soft shells came out and were done to perfection, lightly floured and not greasy at all. The blackened redfish came out with beautiful grill marks but hardly any blackening seasoning. However the side sauce was a key lime beurre blanc that was sinnfully delicious. Mark also recommended and brought a soy ginger sauce that was equally delicious. We had an Italian Bottega Vinaia (Cavit) Pinot Grigio that went well with the meal. They have replaced the carpet of what was once Vrazels with hardwood flooring which caused the noise level to be somewhat elevated. Overall it was okay for a casino eatery. Much room for improvement in both the atmosphere and the quality of the food.

I used to work at C&G and Id like to respond to some of these reviews. Im not a huge fan of the casino but a lot of the negatives on here are due to misunderstandings on the customers part on how a casino actually works. Its NOT an easy job by any means. -First of all, ANYONE who is treated rudely by any staff can demand to speak to the owner of the casino, he is there every single day and he does not tolerate unhappy customers. You always have the right to talk to the next in command. -To the person complaining about the cocktail waittresses, they have to basically beg for tips because people think its ok to order drink after drink for free and they cant make money that way but nobody is forcing the elderly into tipping. Plus the machine payouts are ridiculously low, every customer I ever talked to except for one complained of not winning anything. -To the guy who complained about the atms, what do you think the restaraunt worker is a psychic? How should she know whats wrong with the atm, thats why she works in a restaurant and not as an electrician. If you were so upset, there are help desks EVERYWHERE, try one of them instead of some random worker. Use common sense here. -If you waited ten minutes to get seated at a restaraunt, you are not the only one and chances are good there was a wait or not enough servers to accomodate any more guests in the buffet. The hair thing is gross though I would have demanded a refund.
