The place is very small with limited parking. To enter the overflow parking you have to go down a steep hill and out a steep hill. Be sure to drive a bigger car or youll end up damaging your car or getting it stuck. The wine tasting area was very small seating only 8 - 10 people at a time, with 2 ladies helping and it was really busy when when got there 1 hr 30 min after it opened. It was not organized at all on who was there first, youd have to stand behind the tasters until they moved. After 40 mins without wine tasting we decided to go out to the deck and have lunch instead. It was not busy but they were poorly staffed for a Saturday. They only had 1 cashier, 1 lady taking orders and the owner bringing out the customers orders (mistakenly giving us 2 pizzas we did not order) and 1 lady making the pizzas. We waited 45 mins without ever ordering or getting anything to drink so we just left. The staff was nice and greeted us but that was all. We bought 2 bottles instead, Frontenac Rose´ and Chambourcin which are semi-sweet wines and it was very bland. There was not even a hint of sweetness to this. What a waste of time.. 40 mins drive, 40 mins waiting without wine tasting, 45 mins waiting to place an order, and 40 mins driving back home.

Not worth the rude service! To give an unbiased opinion: they had rude and slow service, tiny samples, a great setting, and good pizza. We waited about 10 minutes for our first acknowledgement and I was handed a soapy wine glass and when I mentioned that it had soap on it, the server rudely responded that it was just water. We waited another 10 minutes between our 1st and 2nd wine sample. She walked past us numerous times and even emptied out the tip glass directly in front of us in while we had empty glasses waiting for our 2nd sample. Eventually two friendlier staff members served us. Although, first impressions are a killer and I will not be returning to this vineyard.

We have been there several times over the last five years and we also noticed the staff getting a bit surly and sloppy the last couple of times. The wines will vary from year to year, for a variety of reasons. That is wine. You take the good and the bad and try to make it better. The service though, that is something else. In 2009 we were treated like royalty. By 2012, we were just another problem. Pizza was great, The wines were ok. Together, that does not excite us enough to be regulars. The owner/winemaker is a neat guy and has some great stories., keep him in the front of the house if you can!

Cannot Rate the Pizza, Cannot Rate the Wine,,, I called a week in advance for a larger party of 18, was told a couple of times that would work, and if we were going to be late call from the road,,, we were going to be late, called 3 hours ahead of time,,, Guy says thanks for letting us know... We show up to be told by someone who was NOT at all Customer Service Trained, WE DONT take reservations for wine tastings and you will have to go outside and buy a bottle because we are very busy!.... Walks away, comes back and says the Same thing,,, !!!! Thanks we had a Great time in Hastings...

We visited Falconer Vineyards as part of a tour of 8 Minnesota Wineries, and we too experienced very rude service. Our server did not explain anything about the wines; she just said "whats next?" and poured the next wine on our list. When we did ask questions, she responded very curtly. A couple next to us asked if they could sit down at one of the tables to sample the wines, and she rudely told them that the tables are for people who order pizza. The wines at Falconer were very good, and the scenery was beautiful, but due to the poor service, we will not be returning.

This place is a local place and probably wouldnt survive in any urban area. It was absolutely packed, but the service for wine tasting was terrible. The pizza was good, but the wines are not. If youve visited any good wineries in Minnesota/Wisconsin, youll be completely turned off by the wines. As we were leaving, a server said, "are these people STILL here?". If you are looking for a local place to hang out, Im sure its fine. If you are looking for a winery, try Villa Bellezza 45 minted away - such a classy place!

Only reason I give it one star is that we arrived during advertised hours but it was closed. My husband and I arrived there around 7:30 pm on a Friday night and everything was dark, even though the hours on the door (and on the internet) said open until 8 pm. I called and a gentleman told me that as the days get darker sooner and people stop coming, they send their staff home. I understand that - so please change your advertised hours or at least put up a sign on the door apologizing for the early closure.

This is by far my favorite place to visit. We live about 1 1/2 hours away and it is well worth our trip. My favorite wine comes from Falconers (LaCrescent)! It is so relaxing to spend an afternoon on the deck overlooking the vineyards, sipping wine, eating fabulous pizza and enjoying live music! Weve been here many times and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Weve never felt rushed, only pampered. Thanks for a great experience! If I could, Id give you 6 stars!

Great little winery with a nice relaxing feel. The wines were really good and they let you take a self guided tour around the grounds. Its was a little confusing for us at first on where you go for the tasting. Tastings are in the front at the bar and food is in the back on the patio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Wines were much too sweet and the gal doing our wine tasting didnt offer much information or seem to care if we enjoyed our experience. However, the wood fired pizza was pretty good and they have a lot of options. The patio out back was beautiful and relaxing.

The staff was very rude and unprofessional. They didnt explain too much about their products the wine. It seem that they didnt care about it. But the fire roasted pizza was the highlight. I would go back for the pizza but not for the wine or service.

This was my first time visiting Falconer and I was very pleasantly surprised! Their cider is great and I would highly recommend it. The staff has fun and is knowledgeable about their offerings. Great place to go with friends or for a romantic evening!

First date with a wonderful man. Not sure if it was the ambiance or the man I fell in love with first. Pizza, wine and service are wonderful... And the man... We are living happily ever after. And still enjoy the winery all the time.

Strongly disliked the 6 sample wines. Gal behind the bar was extremely rude upon our arrival. Gal serving the wine tasting was much more friendly and did provide some brief descriptions of the wine. Fell far short of expectations.
