I played Palmer Park for the first time April 21st 2014. The Staff was really friendly and the rate was $20 for 18 holes with a cart. No complaints there. The course itself is short to a low handicapper. Its only about 6000 yards. But It as a good track to get an early season round in on. The Fairways werent in very good shape, but the greens did roll true. The greens had been aerated the year before which means that they do take care of the course although a quick glance at their fairways would suggest otherwise (what do you expect for $20?) A buddy and I got all the way around on a early spring evening in about 2.5 hours. You play courses again that you think had good value. This course at $20 for 18 and a cart is good value. Ill be back to bomb a few of the short par 4s and maybe get a hole in one like Happy Gilmore

I played this course on their opening day. The snow melted, leaving puddles of standing water everywhere. But, honestly, that added a level of difficulty to a course that otherwise is fairly easy. Id highly recommend this course for beginners, because if you spray the ball, you wont be diggin in your bag for another one. Id also recommend this course to the advanced player thats looking to test his iron game. Especially, if youre trying to master a draw shot. Its too early in the season to comment about the greens or fairways, but as far as course layout goes, its a good, versatile golf course. Also, I want to mention that the PGA Pro, Mark M., is the type of pro you dont need a bunch of lessons from, in order for you to make an improvement.

Not sure what tntimlin was expecting, but I was impressed. It was earlier this season, so its condition may have digressed... Greens were patchy, but were seeded and sanded. Course is very open. Its a great place for a hack like myself. Clubhouse was in good shape, staff was friendly, but play was slow. For the area, it cant be beat unless youre at DCC. Detroits hidden gem.

Went on 5/19/2017. Course was in horrible condition. The Fairways were longer than the rough on a normal course. The Greens were so slow as there were patches of grass missing and very bumpy. The staff was nice but when you lose a ball due in the fairway due to long grass, it makes for a really rough round of golf.

I think palmer park golf course is better than it has been in a long time. The greens are pretty fast. They are trying to improve the fairways. You can still lose a ball in the fairway on the back nine but overall it is a great place to improve your shots out of the rough

They have really did a lot of upgrades but they should clean out the the little pond water...its really great if you want to take the kids out on a hot day where the water shoots out the ground and dumps out on your head...great to have small kids a small party! Love it!

Beautiful park, lots to see. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. One of the prettiest parks Ive been too. I got to see lots of ducks, the cutest baby ducks and geese. There was also a really cool old house, old water fountain and a beautiful lighthouse.

The greens and fairways are being improved regularly after falling into disrepair. The back nine, as of August 28, 2017 was still not open; I definitely preferred the back to the front for golfing.

The worst course I ever played, fairways looked like they havent been mowed in months, the greens are horrible. Not worth the trip , damn sure not worth the money. NEVER AGAIN.

Course is fine for the price . It is what you would expect. The guy at the desk was very unaccomadating and rude when we tried to get a quick 9 in at 7:50

People were nice, greens were decent. The real problem is there are no fairways. The fairway grass was longer than some of the rough at other courses.

It was a flooded muddy field. The greens were like rough fairway. Fairways do not exist here. Imagine a school field that is what you will find.

I have played this course a ton of times and it is a fun course with nothing really challenging. The perfect course for some1 to start out

Awesome golf course. $10 for nine holes walking. The fairways were wide open with hidden hazards, and the greens were a bit tricky.

Another poorly run course by vargo management. Fairways are like hitting out of the rough. Back 9 is always closed.
