What can I say.... This was absolutely an incredible experience. The White Room provided us with the best experience venue wise (The Villa Blanca) in addition to having an incredible Coordinator (Shannon). First, the venue was breathtaking! The pictures that you see online can not do justice of an actual in-person viewing. The way the light shines in during your ceremony lights up the whole room and shined on us during our vows (will make for some incredible pictures). Even with the venue being a split floor plan, it does not do anything to take away from the vibe. The way Shannon and her team were able to coordinate the ceremony upstairs, dinner downstairs, and dancing upstairs made it feel like there were not changes at all. Shannon was absolutely incredible with her professionalism and coordination skills! She was there for us during the whole night and went above and beyond anything we could of imagined. She made the whole night revolve around us and even brought my wife and I our first drinks to share as husband and wife! Dinner was incredible with everyone telling us how much the enjoyed the duo of fish and steak we had. Shannon even boxed us up two meals so we could take home and enjoy the next day (so we could actually enjoy our food since we were visiting with friends and family during that time). The way they set up the dance floor and the furniture upstairs for the rest of the night was perfect. They had couches, high tops, and balcony chairs for people to enjoy the setting of the Villa Blanca in-between all of the dancing. The open bar was incredible with our guests being able to order so many different drinks throughout the night. Lastly, the send off was great! The way the sparklers lined the side alley as we walked through made for such a great experience. This was a great way for us to say thank you to everyone as we passed by them before getting on our horse drawn carriage to be taken away. Thanks White Room!

I chose The White Room for my destination wedding to St. Augustine through the web and a phone conversation. It was the first venue I clicked on and that was it! The view from the rooftop was spectacular and thats what first drew me. It made for a phenomenally beautiful sunset ceremony. The loft space, which we also had for the affair, was warm and inviting with its brick walls, french doors, columns, wood floors. My florist, Kristen Hendrix of A Happily Ever After Florist (reviewed separately) was easily able to transform this venue into one of elegance and romance given this great base. My guests are still raving about the food which was five star restaurant fare rather than catering hall food. Their set up and service was excellent as well. Im not sure what other venues charge because, honestly, I didnt look any further but there is a fairly high minimum to pay whether you have 20 or 150 people. If youre on a budget and having a smaller wedding you might want to look for a place at which you just pay per head. But although my destination wedding dwindled to 50 by the end, the beauty, service, and food of The White Room was well worth it to me. My guests use the words - exquisite, magnificent, perfect - to describe my wedding! :)) Id also like to review my wedding event planner, Meghan Berman, separately in this review. Fortunately, Meghan answered my inquiry and I felt an instant connection. Im glad I went with my gut and started working with her. From start to finish she was a joy to work with. I never felt as if I were a bother and Meghan, ALWAYS pleasant and reassuring, handled every "problem" with ease and professionalism. She has a smile in her voice. Meghan even called me to let me know that I could reallocate funds to get "my moneys worth. She held my hand through it all and helped to make my wedding an awesome event! :) Get her if you can!

Full disclosure: I work in the wedding industry in Saint Augustine so I have worked with hundreds of different vendors in the area for the last 10 years. But this week I happened to be on the other side of the camera when I married the love of my life. I told my bride-to-be that of all the weddings I have seen the very best couples are out for two things… 1) to have a great time and 2) be thankful for the day, so that was all I really wanted for our wedding day. Well, we got so much more than we could have ever hoped for. The reception is the first thing everyone tells you to book, because they book out the farthest, and we decided to choose one of the newer Saint Augustine wedding venues the Villa Blanca. This is a converted 2 story Spanish home that the owners of the White Room restored beautifully with hard wood floors and stunning vaulted ceilings with white beams. All of our guests were definitely impressed. The food was outstanding, we did a brunch buffet, with a deviled eggs, French Toast, shrimp and grits bar, and the surprise for me, was the best turkey with gravy I have ever had (please don’t tell my mom). And the best part of the White Room was Meghan and the White Room staff. I’ve worked with Meghan for years, and I always new she was professional and great at her job, but I have never been on the side that needed her advice and counsel. She walked us through things that I never really thought about and made the process simple and help us keep our focus on having a great time with our family and friends. During the process even the other planners at the White Room made themselves available to help us with any questions. The staff was friendly and prompt and made all our family and friends feel at home. If you want to hear raves from your loved ones, you must hold your event at the White Room, Villa Blanca.

Ill begin this review by saying that any bride planning to get married in St. Augustine whether she be local or even from out of state should pick The White Room or The White Room Loft. Obviously, when I first went into the white room, the views of the bay, rustic yet chabby chic decor - sold me...but then, I met the staff. Every single person at the White Room is deticated to making your day special, the staff is warm, welcoming and accomodating for even the most nervous bride (myself). I am from Missouri and every aspect of my wedding had to be planned either via email or telephone and the staff was always there to answer any question I may have. There is one person in particular that I must mention, my wedding coordinator - Meghan. Meghan will always hold an extremely special place in my heart for making my day the best day it could have possibly been, she is not only extremely efficient, professional, helpful but also relatable. She took the time to get to know my husband and I and knew exactly how to play out the vision of my wedding. For any bride who is looking for a wonderful person to help with the event - Meghan is your gal. Also, a couple little details for future brides out there, the food at the White Room was 5 stars, it was delicious, well prepared - each individual plate even had a gorgeous pink orchid on it (a detail I didnt ask for), no one went without appetizers - the staff was so attentive with drinks as well. I cannot imagine having my day anywhere else. It was perfect and made even better by the people that put it together at the White Room (especially Meghan)!
