Skating here is good, unless you are expecting there to be rules followed. I find weekday skates during the day to be the best. If you are a brand new skater without a lot of control Id wait and see what the public skate group looks like before paying the money. Tag and kids pushing each other on the walkers and letting them slide across the ice seems to be a common occurrence here with no one stopping it. If its one of their hockey teams breaking the rules there seems to be even less desire to correct them or tell them to stop. Great if you go to one of their programs (learn to skate and adult hockey are fun) but public skate when busy is one of the least organized skates Ive ever been to and would recommend Lawson when possible.

Nice skating great fun but for r people with 3 skate rentals 50 dollars is not great I recommend lawson ice arena

im a figure skater and skate here every week and the rinks are pretty good. not to hard or soft.
