I visited today with my brother and, like the rest who have tried it out, we were so excited and thrilled with the Virtual Reality experience offered at Nova VR. They use the Steam operating system and have a large selection of games and experiences to choose from. We began by exploring a cathedral which was their basic introduction the VR rig and how to use it. We moved on to fighting off and alien horde with ray guns and an energy shield. We also tested some realistic weaponry like rocket launchers, gatling guns, and exploding bananas. Next we tried skiing (not for those who get motion sick easily :) and then wrapped things up fighting off a horde of goblins using a bow and arrow and some fireballs. What a cool experience. I would have given 5 stars but they have only been open a month and are still working out a few kinks. Get in there and try this while the prices are reasonable and they are still relatively new!

This is a really cool new place. With a great marketing team, and a few minor changes, they could be hugely successful. My family had a wonderful time, albeit short. The rates are reasonable and the staff is nice and super helpful. With four players, Id recommend two rooms for a couple hours, or one room for about three or four hours. I think the staff should allow time in between each session - maybe 15 minutes or so - for a quick wipe down/sanitization of all the equipment and sofa. A quick vacuum would be great too. I also think they should have people arrive 20 minutes or so early to sign waivers and do a quick tutorial BEFORE their paid time starts because play time goes really fast. Other than that, its a simple but phenomenal facility with many, many game options. We drove over two hours for this experience and would definitely do it again!

We called around four hours ahead to have a reservation in the "VIP" room yet we still had to wait almost ten minutes to actually be situated in the room. We ran into quite a few problems, which is expected with a service like this, but still more than we were happy with. One of the controllers died about 30 minutes into our session, which brought us down to a select few games to be able to play. We were told we would be compensated (a whole $2) for the inconvenience. We were cut out of the room right on the 12:00 hour, meaning we didnt get the full hour we paid for. When we finally had to checkout we never got the $2 discount and didnt find that out until after looking the prices up online to really know what we paid for. The actual VR service they offer is insanely cool. We just had a bad experience with the actual business and the way its run.

So this place is a virtual reality arcade, where you pay roughly 18$ an hour for you and your friends to play around with a Vive headset. Went there to show my cousins what the high-end VR was like. Ended up being blown away myself by the hardware. Good equipment and nice facilities, VERY helpful and friendly staff who straightened out our many technical difficulties and gave us a discount for the problems we had. If youve never done VR gaming before, this is pretty high quality stuff, but still accessible enough for anyone. The social and VIP rooms have televisions so you can watch whatever the person wearing the headset is seeing, and it makes for a surprisingly social experience. They have a good selection of games, too... but honestly, its really hard to explain how mind-blowing VR games in general are until you try them.

dont waste your time with these idiots. the main website says $20 an hour "go ahead and check before you judge me" then when i call they say $15 an hour, and they "think" they should make it MORE because theyve seen a spike in customers. but everytime i pass by there isnt anyone in the main waiting area. the lies these people do. they pick and choose who comes in and who doesnt. they never listen to suggestions either. i hope another business swoops in soon and takes them out. and by the way the HTC VIVE head set is NOT $1,000+ its actually under $600 on ebay. so go ahead and keep blowing your money so youll never save up for your own headset. thats what these idiots want you to do. and apparently theres alot of gullable customers coming in... probably getting a better deal than what they tell you online or the phone.

We made a 2pm appointment for the VIP room. Arrived at 1:45 only to find that the door was locked. The sign said "open", and we received a confirmation email that the appointment was set. We waited until after 2pm, called, and knocked several times. No response. This is no way to run a business. Had I known that no one would show up, I wouldnt have driven an hour and a half from Lansing. Disappointing to say the least! To clarify in response to the owners comments: we never got in that day, so we didnt "have a great time despite the issue" because NO ONE WAS THERE. As for "making things right", the only follow-up I received was the comment posted below.

Fun entertainment for a few friends or family. Some technical difficulties but there were handled almost immediately. About 60 different games. Only real issue we had was our 6 year old had a hard time picking games or getting back out of menus (I would say looking back hes probably too young), and anyone prone to motion sickness should not attend - the the headset on youre fine, but watching the screen while someone else is playing can be too much.

Heard a buzz about it in town. Decided to try it. Very nicely priced. Kind and open service. Cannot wait until the wireless equipment comes. Games as so much fun. Had my birthday party there and introduced about 5 new people to the spave who have never played before and they absolutely loved it and want to come back on their own. Take someone on a date here. They will be impressed. Take your angsty teen here theh will love it.

This is an awesome place! Allegedly one of 2 VR arcades in the state, this is the only thing like this I have ever seen! They have a huge list of games to play and the pricing is very reasonable. The rooms are comfy and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. This is a super great place. The staff is knowledgeable and capable of fixing anything that comes up. Basically this is new favorite place.

We came for my birthday back in January. It was a great experience! They definitely have a few kinks to work out, but because the technology itself is so new it wasnt anything that would deter us from going back again. Looking forward to how they grow and change with the new technology that becomes available!

Great place, VR is a singularly unique experience. Minus a couple of popular titles, they have a lot of games 4 you to try, that Encompass a lot of different styles. There is really something for everyone whether youre an avid gamer or someone that just wants to see what its like.

Best place to visit for games lover. VR is the new era of games, def go and try who havent. Staff is outstandingly friendly. Make sure to reserve room in advance unlike me theyd to setup a new room for my group took them 30 minutes. Anyways I recommend this to everyone.
