Beautiful works, accompanied by friendly staff and informative displays makes for a cool experience at this museum. The price is a little bit on the expensive end, but I imagine thats in part because of the 20000 degree furnace run by natural gas used for the entertaining and intriguing glassblowing show. The person that did the show was humorous and knew how to captivate an audience, even in making a simple vase. The exhibits were colorful and explanatory, and there was obviously a lot of glass, but they were not just shards of glass but fantastic art sculptures! Very much worth the visit.

Definitely neat to see the glass there and the ornate designs. The glass blowing demonstration was informative and fun too. The museum could use a little upkeep in areas though. Also they have a lot of the same kind of glass work on display which started to get a little old to me. A little more variety would be nice. Then again, its important to remember they are showcasing SANDWICH glass, not necessarily all forms of glass art, hence the repetition of the same glass designs. That being said, they do have an exhibit room where they showcase pretty cool glass art from various glass artists.

Was a very nice experience overall. I learned a lot about the history of glass making, the chemical compositions of different types of glass as well as how to make the different shapes. There was a nice demonstration with a glass blower that went through the process of showing an audience how to create simple glass shapes from molten glass in the furnace they have at the facility. There were many beautiful glass structures on display as well. Definitely worth the price to visit.

Excellent facility, great for a rainy day. Tons of exhibits loaded with history, a gift shop filled to the brim with beautiful (though quite pricey) gifts and glass decorations, and a very informative and impressive glass blowing demonstration made this a great way to spend our morning. Bring a camera, and make sure you have a few hours to really be able to take everything in.

Worth it. Really enjoyed the authentic demonstration and the creative, attention grabbing presentations. The glass blower loves what she does! Oh yeah, and the glass collection is spectacular especially on a sunny day. Great history, great shop, and the Josh Simpson exhibition is out of this world and simply beautiful.

A very interesting museum with lots of detail about the glass making process and the history behind the factory. There are lots of glass pieces to look at, maybe too many. The glass blowing demonstration (by Alex) was both educational and hilarious. Id skip the movie if I were you

Its a lovely space. Mostly dedicated to the history of glass making on the cape, the displays are a thoughtful tour of the interaction of developments in glass making, technology and society. There are also some nice exhibits of beautiful contemporary glass.

Very interesting, though a bit sad history. Beautiful exhibits and not very expensive. Glass blowing presentation was a bit lame - they could have shown something a little bit more interesting than a hollow ball

Thr live glass-blowing demonstration was very interesting if you dont know much about glass, and there were several other interesting exhibits. Reasonably-priced for the cape.

The onsite glassblowing demonstrations every hour are a nice touch. And the museum does a surprisingly good job of turning 19th century glassmaking into an interesting story.
