A great community gem to go and catch dinner and a film. The Strand plays weekly films that are recently out of theaters or are about to hit DVD. The selection is usually spot on, as the owners have a good eye for quality films. The choices arent always blockbuster hits, but 98% of the films Ive seen here Ive enjoyed. During the summer classic films are played once a week. Movies like "Jaws," "The Goonies," and "North by Northwest" are fun to go and see again with an enthusiastic crowd. Throughout the year classic films are also played, such as ""Young Frankenstein" during Halloween or "A Christmas Story" during, you guessed it, Christmas. The theater offers a full service grill for patrons to order dinner during the film. Pizza, burgers, chicken baskets, and other appetizers, in addition to candy and popcorn, are served. A full drink list is also available. The food is good too. I love their pizza as it comes with several toppings to choose from. Overall, we go to this venue often and love supporting a small business I our area. The owners are both incredibly nice guys, and run a quality operation! Keep up the good work!

We might had gotten there a little late an to sit on bar type stools. That didnt matter. We still had plenty of room. The theater was very nice with a nice selection of food items. Seats might have been hard but we enjoyed ourselfs. Getting there a little earlier would have allowed us better seating. We plan to go back many times in the future. Great theater for entertainment!

Such an awesome small-town theater experience. Stop by for an inexpensive movie and a full menu available at concessions with meals, snacks, and beverages (even the alcoholic kind!). Would definitely recommend on a rainy day or even a hot sunny day to escape into A/C!

Great cheap date. Food is adequate but affordable. Beer selection is surprising. Seats could be more comfy. Sound quality is mediocre. Movie selection is generally artistically and intelligently pleasing. Friendly staff in my experience.

Great place to have a pub style dinner complete with wine/beer while you watch a movie with friends. Very inexpensive night! $5.50 admission + food is usually under $20. There are tables in between the seat and some in front of you!

Second run cinema and draft house. A beautiful old art deco theatre with pub fare, beer and wine. Tickets are $5.50 and food & drinks are reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and seems to have a good vibe. Not your usual movie theatre.

I love being in and old theater. Movies our pretty recent, price $5.50 is so inexpensive, and you have tables between the seething so you can enjoy their extensive menu while you watch the movie.
