This review will probably be biased, as all reviews are, so always remember to give a place a try regardless of what others say (DONT go to dangerous places): The BCEC does its job well. Its job being huge, ten-thousand-person conventions. However, as far as a venues go, its not perfect. It has a great, enormous exposition hall in the center, but it lacked space for smaller panels, as it sported less than a dozen smaller panel rooms (at least at PAX. There may have in fact been other rooms not in use or mentioned, but I think that if there were smaller rooms, the PAX administrators would probably rent/lease/allow people to hold smaller events there, given the plethora of small-scale independent game companies.). In terms of human traffic (no, NOT human trafficking), the BCEC does a fantastic job circulating people around its center pavillion, with many sets of giant doors that allow people to move about freely. Food is expensive, but so are all (that Ive encountered) food options at conventions. The lines to get into the building are handled FANTASTICALLY fast, and even though there were easily 300+ people in queue for security with us, we still only waited about 5 minutes. Still, I personally cant give it a five for its lack of smaller, compartmental panel capacity. Given the format of the conventions that it supports however, a 4.5/5 is what it truly deserves.

Went to a conference here today. Rooms seemed to be spacious and good. However, the projector quality and lighting was not perfect. It was difficult to see some of the slides from about half way back. Seemed like the projector was slightly out of focus. I had another issue with parking. The "south lot" parking was designated as conference parking and I could see my car right outside, but there were no exits to the lot. I had to go all the way back and take an exit door and walk outside (was this a security measure? it didnt seem to be because there wasnt anyone particularly guarding the other door). I wanted to walk inside because it was a little chilly. I asked one of the conference center personnel and they politely told me that I had to take one of the far-away doors, but the lot was only "half a block away". May be it is a design feature that I dont completely understand, or maybe it was an architects bug, specially during snow. The parking was a decent price though ($12 near downtown Boston), but after the long day it felt like I should have taken the valet parking ($25).

At a convention for 7000 critical care nurses. The exhibition center and accommodations were incredible. Clean, temperature appropriate and food availability were better than any Ive attended in 28 years. Boston is a walking city and access was easy if you walked everywhere. MBTA system needs to update their system in regards to customer service. Hard to figure out the transit system so its easier to walk. Dont drive or rent a car in Boston it is much better and efficient to walk and use public transportation. Only complaint I have is Boston is really expensive. I guess thats what makes them BOSTON STRONG from A huge Red Sox fan from San Diego now

I came here for PAX East 2016. I thought this place was going to be tiny like John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center. Boy am I wrong. This place is bigger and better! I love my experience here and the only problem is the food. The food is there but expect the price to be high up there. You are mostly paying for conveniences and if you do walk outside there are food trucks but they didnt have what I wanted. I basically have to walk pretty far out to get what I crave. Okay I will stop talking about the food; the lines and security is up there and quick too. Love it. That is all I have to share.

This space makes me think of the worlds shiniest aircraft hanger. Its also, apparently, not friendly to outside food, which makes food based conventions over a certain size a bit of a problem in this fair city, despite the two convention centers. Its a bit hard to access from much the city of Boston itself, but its on the new silver line bus-train-airport shuttle thing, so it should be easy to find if you are from out of town and flying in. Despite being close to the highway, its not that easy to get to from 93 and impossible to get to without it, so thats a bit of a bummer.

Lived here for a week. Went to the Samuel Adams bar every single day for lunch. Got fish and chips and... surprise, surprise a pint or three of good ol Samuel Adams... even despite it being a scientific conference where a clear head is usually an asset. But really, as if Im just going to walk by the Sam Adams bar and look and and say "Oh, wow honey, will you look at that?" Yeah right. The reality is I am gonna be top candidate for their best customer of the week. Oh, yeah and the staff and the rest of the center is/are awesome.

I have been here for many events like, beer & wine, INBOUND, and business contentions. Most recently we were here for Tony Robins and Tom Brady talk. The audio had a little echo, but that was on the audio company. This is a easy 7 min walk to all the waterfront restaurants. When the coffee vendors inside are full, we just head across the street to Dunkin Donuts. Parking is about $17 for all day, which you need to go in from the front entrance and drive along the side of the convention till you get to the back lot.

un gran centro de convenciones, muy organizado y amplio y la wifi funciona a la perfección , además la istuación ,bastante céntrico es estupenda y la comunicación con metro y bus también. Desde el aeropuerto se puede ir gratis con la Silver Line

The convention center is reasonably clean and uncluttered. I attended recently for PAX East and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The center has a fenced area for food trucks, however it still requires attendees to do security checks on re-entry. My only complaint would be that it can be difficult fulfilling that checkpoints requirements while carrying food. The Uber pickup for the center is on a side street near the attached hotel, it can get very cold waiting during the winter.

Hard to write a review for a space, as how good it is is largely based on the people setting up the show. But its a large space, great for hosting Expos, its fairly easy to get to by public transportation, but not the easiest. I often just walk from the Red Line as the the Silver Line can be very overcrowded with people trying to get to it for the event. There is a bit of parking, but not enough and its always overpriced, but the parking is not owned by the center, so cant blame them.

A massive yet easy to learn layout is the first thing youll notice about any event here. After enough time it becomes easy to navigate from one side to the other without getting lost. Great food in the "Wicked Good" food court and now the food trucks that gather outside the lower level offer a very eclectic and diverse set of food options. Parking is not too far from an entrance and the front, though congested at peak traffic, is accessible via walking or dropoff. Great event venue
