This Venue is probably one of the worst places I have seen a concert in a long time! We went to see the Good Vibes Tour, which is a Reggae line up. I purchased my tickets the first week of June for this show on Sept 6th. When I bought them, the only decent places left to sit where I could get 4 tickets together was in the front of the "concourse" section according to the map. Which was fine, if it was going to be packed, we would prefer a spot where we could move around and dance and not be confined to the center of a row. There is NO slope to this venue so if you get stuck behind a tall person, you arent going to be able to see a thing. On the night of the show, we arrived on time, found our seats and were remarking at how empty the venue was. Which, by the way .... never filled up. We ended up nearly in the front when we wandered down toward the stage and found some seats no one was using. I am glad I didnt pay for the more expensive seats only to find out that we could basically sit where ever we wanted. Why block people from buying something you have open and available?? Im pretty annoyed by the general crowd there. If you dont like hippies, if you dont like Reggae, if you cant put a smile on your face for one night then STAY HOME. The people at this show were SO RUDE, it really messed with our good vibes and happy go lucky approach to the evening. I would absolutely NEVER see any type of good vibe, show here again because they arent going to let you enjoy yourself, you are automatically guilty of something just because you are at a reggae show was how we were treated by ALL the staff at this venue. The vending was a JOKE. Every different station we went to, we were charged a different price. I bought a water on one side at one point when I went to the bathroom and it was $4. Then later, I bought one at a different spot because it was closer to our seats and it was $7. WTF? Then I found out that the guys bought beers and experienced the same thing. $13 or $15 for a 24 ounce PBR. Are you kidding me? You can buy a 12 pack for less than that. I suppose they have to make their money somewhere since 60% of the seats were unsold. The NO Smoking policy is the absolute most obnoxious thing about this place. COPS come over to you and tell you that if you dont put out your cigarette, you will be removed from the venue. They absolutely do not tolerate you smoking anything, forget about anything more than a cigarette! Not the place. They dont like fun here, they will come over and disrupt your entire section if you break any rules! We are all in our mid to late twenties and felt like we didnt need our mom and dad looking over our shoulder. People kept telling us there were undercover cops and we were like "FOR WHAT REASON!!?? - totally unnecessary, FYI Boston PD, you are WAY OBVIOUS! The not so undercover cops kept trying to buy drugs from EVERYONE there, like multiple times from people in our section, give it a rest and stop trying to make a problem where there isnt one. No one was on or was trying to sell drugs so stop making the night even more uncomfortable than it already was. Also, if you are under cover ... Get the lingo and the vibe right or NO ONE who does/deals drugs will EVER sell them to you because of your GAPER obnoxious approach! The other thing that was SO off putting was the SUPER tight schedule. I totally understand that the city has a noise ordinance and 11pm is the cut off point, but threatening to fine the ARTIST if they go past their set times is ridiculous. Honestly, if you like to ENJOY yourself at a music show, go to another venue. This one is expensive to go to, get to, stay near and they make it so its really tough to try to enjoy yourself. Way to make totally normal people feel like criminals for wanting to dance with friends to some good music. Maybe lighten up a bit or dont bother hosting any music events because after too long, no one is going to come here.

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best concert venue Ive been to. Tickets to this venue are a bit pricey, but very worth it! Heres why: It is located in a perfect area of Boston. Its right on Boston Harbor, and there are plenty of places to eat before the show. Entering was fast and easy. They didnt check me for cameras or anything really, they just scanned my ticket and let me right in. The place is very clean and tidy. Being someone with OCD, this is always good to see! Very well-organized and it has a comfortable set-up. Nice and roomy. It is true that food and beverages are pricey, but hey, I have found a solution! EAT BEFORE THE SHOW! As I said earlier, there are a lot of restaurants to eat at in the surrounding area. So, just fill up before the show and simply pay for a couple drinks. It will save you a lot of money. This venue has a capacity of around 5,000 if Im correct, so its big, but small enough to feel intimate. The seating chart is set up very well, and this is definitely the kind of venue where every seat is a good seat. There are also projectors on either side of the stage, so people who are farther back can see better. The seats are comfortable, you get cup holders, and the rows are big so there is plenty of room to stand up and dance. Sound quality and acoustics are perfect. I know there is some concern that the acoustics may be affected due to the fact that this venue is basically a big tent, but it was one of the best-sounding venues Ive been to. It sounds great, nice and loud! It is really just an awesome venue. Very cool structure, great acoustics, great lighting. Its just a perfect venue. If an act you like is coming here, be sure to go!

Saw Yanni there last night. We sat at the back and even though the seats werent great the acoustics were pretty good even back there. The only problem is the stage is a bit far so you dont really see the performers all that clearly, and its awful for picture taking. Maybe bring binoculars :-/ Also if the people in front of you are taller youll have crane your neck. -1 star for seating. We had livenation groupons and we thought the line moved pretty fast. The staff were friendly enough and security was ok. What made me give 5 stars despite the -1 for seating, was the staff after the concert. I lost my phone and didnt find out until after I got home. It was too late to get it back since the concert ended close to 10pm so I had to wait until today (next day). Well, they dont open until 12pm and meantime I am panicking. I did the whole lock and locate using lookout (great app!) and put up a screen to get in touch in with me if anyone finds or has my phone. I also called and left and message on their general line. At 11:45am today I got an email saying they found my phone. I tried to call them saying I would pick it up later in the day but got their messaging system again. In any case, I drove there over my lunch break and it was pretty painless getting it back. I noticed that they had looked through the little slots in the phone cover since stuff was sticking out; I assume they were looking for contact info before I set it up since the emergency cash I usually have in it was still there as were the other doodads I have in it. Thank you Blue Hills Bank Pavilion! Your outstanding service is noted and appreciated.
