I tried scheduling a party for more than 8 people for my daughter online for 7/14/17 and was unable to. I know nothing about Champs policies and how things operate. I had 12 8yo kids showing up at 7:00 and when I arrived with a cake and gifts at the door I was told by the incredibly friendly ticket saleswoman that I would have to speak with the manager because party rooms must be booked to bring in gifts. I waited for the manager and explained that I had difficulty with the website and had called earlier in the day to confirm that I could bring 12 skaters for my daughters birthday and what the price was, I was never informed that my daughter could not have her celebration without booking the room. In hind sight it makes sense....but I was a frantic mom in the moment. The manager was less than understanding and curt....he was rushed and uninterested in fully explaining our options. My husband expressed his disappointment with how callously Mike Champa responded to us, especially considering my 7yo daughter, the birthday girl, was standing right in front of him listening to what he was saying. The words that came out of his mouth, Ill never forget "Well you guys can just leave then." "Were in the business of Birthdays and I dont need this." Then herding us like cattle with his arms out "Here, you guys just go." You should have seen the look on her face! I asked him what about the 12 little girls coming and he shrugged his shoulders. I asked him to step aside and speak with me where she couldnt hear him, fearful of what he would have to say next. When we were one-on-one he was very decent and professional. He showed me the party packages, still didnt apologize for the misinformation or for what he said in front of my daughter, but he allowed me to book a party room and told me the price. I carried on so my daughter would have a good birthday, but Ive not forgotten what the man said in front of her. I completely understand the policies and the fact that Champs is a business....but I will never understand the treatment of a customer standing there in tears because shes a mom who just screwed up her daughters birthday party because she couldnt book a party for more than 8 kids online. There was a complete lack of compassion, customer service and kindness in that moment. Im grateful that the 20 paying skaters werent turned away but Im incredibly jaded by the managers treatment of me and my husband in front of my daughter. Our party was amazing, my daughter forgot any of it happened, Shania or party host was incredible and the music was great. The facility and the personnel receive a 5 star review from me, but the managers word usage and customer service receive a 1. Unfortunately, because he spoke to me that way, Ill not recommend Champs to any of my friends, family or acquaintances....I was raised at Champs, we bring our kids a couple times/year for fun and this made me incredibly sad. I apologize for the bad review Mr. Champa, but I hope that the next time confused parents are standing there with their birthday boy or girl, this situation might bring about some kindness. Thank you.

This place is a rip off and the owner, Nick Champa, is a THEIF!!! Paid over $50 for my girlfriend, niece and nephew to get in. First couple songs they were not allowed to skate because we didnt purchase glow sticks which were also over priced. I just paid over $50 to get in, why should I have to purchase glow sticks just to skate?!?! As soon as glow stick skate was up, the owners son HARASSED and EMBARRASSED all of us over me wearing a hat on the skate floor! I was holding my girlfriends hand and my nieces hand and they asked me to take my hat off, which I would have done but they didnt even give me time to make a lap around the rink and take my hat off before turning on the lights and embarrassing us. I told the dj, who is the owners son, we only been there for 15 minutes, weren t allowed to skate due to glow sticks than was embarrassed due to the hat for no reason and I wanted refund so we could leave. He refused. Talked to a manager up front who said he would give us a refund. So we took off our skates and upon leaving he said he would no longer give us a refund after discussing it with the dj who had already told us no. So at this point I was extremely pissed but told my nephew to go get his skates back since we already paid and we would stay a little while. At that point management came up to me and told me I had to leave! He tried to say I flicked off the DJ, owners son. I was with my gf and niece and would never do such in front of the. Make a long story short we left and I contacted the owner, nich champa. After numerous emails he refused to give me a refund but said he would give one to my gf, niece and nephew if my gf rode up there and met him. Why couldnt he just mail it or refund my card?! Sounds like a pervert... in addition to a THIEF. Champs skating rink is a huge rip off and the owner is very unprofessional. I wouldnt even give this place one star if it was a option!! I HOPE YOU READ THIS NICK CHAMPA.... YOURE A HORRIBLE BUSINESS OWNER AND A THIEF!!!!

Our first experience with Champs (aka future criminals of Fayette Co.) was on Saturday night. We let our 15 year old daughter and several of her friends go skiating their for the first and LAST time. While there she put her phone (zipped up in a jacket pocket) and several jackets in a locker and someone stole ONLY the phone. When I got there I noticed several cameras all around. I asked whoever was in charge if they couldnt see who got in the locker and stole the phone. I was told that the cameras were not for anyone except them. They clearly only care about themselves being stolen from. If you want to see your future criminals of Fayette Co. go in there look around.. They are right before your eyes. With this facility not taking action and holding these kids accountable they are promoting criminal activity. Could it be possible that it is not the kids ther but actually the employees using those cameras in a back room to watch kids and they themselves are stealing the phones. This place is the slum of all slum, do not take your children there. If you have any kind of decency about yourself go in there prior to letting your kid go and look around at the sights. You will see nothing but TROUBLE. We will never be back there and I am most certainly taking advantage of social media to tell everyone I know about the experience we had there and to tell them to keep their children out of there and spread the word.

i love champs but the DJ gets on my nerves cause when i tried talking to him he just going to walk away from me or flick me off for no reason i didnt even do anything to him cause i dont know him like that so he finally listened to me and i asked him if he could but hip hop/rap music and he said no so then next thing you know when somebody else that asked him the same question he said yes but it cant have cause words but next thing you know he puts that song beez n trap by nicki minaj and it had cause words in it he gets on my nerves then he gonna laught at me cause he didnt listen to me thats dum but overall its pretty good but they should make the skating ring bigger and get new people to watch around the ring cause one time the person is supose to help people but then his friend started laughing with him when someone fell and they cant even skate that good cause he kept falling and tryan trip people but i give it a 4/5
