Nice pool. They open at noon IF they have at least 25 people waiting to get in. $5 for kids to get in, $8 for adults, $6 for 55 and over. Nice kids pool. I did, however, see a kid refuse to her mother to get out of the pool to urinate. Im guessing the kid did it in the pool. Parents, if your kid is doing this, they need better discipline maybe. I dont want my kids swimming in your kids urine. Jus sayin. They only take cash for the concession stand but it does look like they have a good assortment of choices. Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5-5-no screaming kids, just normal laughing and such. A pleasant day.

Visited on 7/4/17. One of the employees sang the Star Spangled Banner (very well) and all the visitors/staff stopped to demostrate respect for those who fought and continue to fight for our freedom. As visitors from out of state this was a super cool way to celebrate our freedom. As for facilities and staff, all was wonderful. Clean changing/restrooms with only a few toilet paper strays (as expected). Friendly staff, attentive life guards, clean water, respectful clientele, reasonable concessions. A great place to visit.

Very nice water park! Went there for our first time on 7/19/17. There is lots to do and my family and I had a blast! The only bad thing I could see is a lot of the lifeguards seemed like they had an attitude, or just didnt want to be there! I know people dnt want to go to there jobs most of the time but it life and customers should feel an attitude because of it!!!! Either way Ill still go here if fun enough that there dick biting attitude wont effect us!!!!

I wouldnt know what to rate them I wasnt there long enough to know! The guy who checked us in was to freaking busy eating at the front desk he forgot to tell me they were closing 40 min after we just payed to get in. They were closing for an hour for adult swim. So if I wanted to do that I had to pay another dollar! Oh but wait I payed adult prices for my kids yet you have to be 18 or over to do adult swim!!!! So angry!!!!! This place sucks!!!!!

Favorite aquatic center Ive tried a couple but none top this one the kiddie side has a 3-4 ft deep side of it that turns into a pool for kids. It has nice slides and a lazy river including a pool. The concession stand prices are great along with the snacks. Very friendly staff I only have one complaint and that is that they dont have any shower curtains on the showers .

Best pool for everyone or families in Des Moines. Usually very clean, staff is attentive and caring. Not enough chairs, might want to bring your own on busy days. lockers return money which is great. Mainly classy crowd here, in a very nice neighborhood.

Zero entry makes this pool accessible for all ages and wheelchair accessible. There are so many features, too many to list. The lazy river is a must do. For the adventurous there are the twisting slides. Snack shop on the property, shaded.

I consider this the best public pool in the Des Moines area. They have a little something for everyone, including a lazy river for me. If you love going to the pool on a hot summer day, you should visit the Valley View Aquatic Center.

This was our first time out there and definitely wont be our last. This place is awesome! So much fun there. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great,fun time with your family.

They close the pool a lot in 2017 and most lifeguards dont care what you do and they are lazy. I just dont like this pool as much I would not call this the best pool in the dm metro area.

Well managed water park with fun for all ages. Would love to see a "larger" slide that you can take smaller children with you but they had fun in the kids area anyway.

Came to the pool today that,according to their website showing open,and the gate is closed .. drove for 10 miles to find out that the pool is still not open ..

Bought a season pass for the lazy river alone! A pretty nice facility but it can feel over-crowded on nice summer days.

Lots of fun for all ages! Slides, lazy river, all sorts of fun stuff. Prices are reasonable. Food is a bit pricey.
