Entering this hotel you immediately understand that youre in for a treat. The lobby is decked out with rock memorabilia, surfboards, and stylish seating. The main focus of your attention however is the 25 foot wall of booze that dominates the space just behind the check in desk. The staff are friendly and helpful and each guest that checks in is treated to a free drink right there at check in (from the aforementioned wall-o-booze no less). The hotel rooms are only accessible by those with keycards, which helps cut down on the potential for rowdy crowds of concert-goers or casino patrons from crashing around outside in the halls while youre trying to sleep. The rooms themselves are very spacious. Vaulted ceilings with exposed brick and wood really make the space feel especially welcoming. The bedding is especially luxurious, very soft sheets and feather pillows. The restrooms feel especially large due to the glass walled showers and huge vanity mirrors throughout. Im not a gambler, so I didnt really spend a lot of time in the casino itself, but I did walk through and they seem to have a wide selection of slots and a few card tables speckled throughout. The bar inside the casino space is nifty looking, full circle around the bartender with numerous televisions above for watching all sorts of sports and other things. The "Fuel" cafe is the one lacking feature of the casino. Great for a late-night grab-n-go meal, but nothing to really write home about. The food was exactly what youd expect from a walk up counter service fast food establishment, slightly over-greasy, but tasty with sad out of season vegetables on the burgers and prepackaged frozen fries. Nothing made in house or particularly special going on here. I did not eat at the "World Tour" buffet during my stay so I cant speak to its quality. The area surround the hotel is sparce if you didnt rent a vehicle. The riverfront is not far from the hotel, but its very difficult to access on foot as there are no real walkways that dont have you walking along the side of some very busy roadways. This is probably the worst part of the experience for me, but will likely not be a huge factor for most guests as they will be here for the casino or concerts, and not so much for the rest of the surrounding area.

Do not book this hotel for a wedding! They had so many mix ups with rooms. Here were a list of the things that went wrong. 1. Our entire wedding party plus multiple family and friends booked rooms for a wedding here. We had confirmation numbers for everything. Imagine the one groomsmans surprise when he came back from the wedding to find his stuff at the front desk and that they had checked him out of his room because he didnt sign in. The lady at the front desk said he didnt need to sign in, so didnt. How rude of them to take his stuff without even a phone call. He was one of many that slept on the floor that night. Which leads into my next issue... 2. Many of our friends/family members asked for rooms with two beds and only got one. That left many people sleeping on the floor. 3. We talked asked them to have a shuttle bus to and from our reception site to the hotel. They said this would not be a problem. Our meal was served at 6:30. We were again surprised when they said they couldnt take people after 6:00 due to them having another commitment at that time, but would start picking people up again in an hour or so. 4. They cannot keep track of hotel rooms for the life of them. So many issues with check-in and check-out dates. We made people keep calling them and confirming because we had been told so many different things. Example: A different groomsman was only checked in for Thursday night but needed it for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They magically made a room appear for the extra nights a week before the wedding. The week of the wedding they told us (bride/groom) that we had canceled our room, which was impossible. After an hour of waiting around to see if they could figure out what the problem was, we got a phone call back confirming we had our room. We were so nervous checking in. We (bride/groom) sent an email and left a message for the manager to call us back to talk about these issues. To this day we havent gotten a response. Only after multiple attempts by the mother of the groom did she finally speak to a manager about some of the issues. They have excuses and no solutions. Terrible service. We will not stay here again, nor will we recommend this place to anyone else.

I am from out of town and stayed for two nights recently. After my stay, I can really say that I think the casino and hotel are both terrific. There is nothing even remotely like either in the region. I had a fantastic experience with the hotel from a service perspective and the rooms are so unique and interesting with exposed brick and wood beams and each room is, of course, musically themed. I can see what it was recently rated a 4-diamond hotel. As for the restaurants, I had a good meal in the buffet. It was a good price with pretty good food. Main + Abbey stole the show though. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and the ambiance is just so unique with brick and what looked like reclaimed wood. The feel of the restaurant makes everyone feel comfortable without going too over the top, and the food is amazing. But leave your diet at home! It has a great selection and everything we ordered tasted great. I will definitely be coming back very soon. The casino floor was full of people and had a nice energy. I had to wait in a short line to get into the casino because it was so busy, but once I got in there was no reason to need to leave. The bars were hopping and the prices were all reasonable given that it was a Hard Rock. I dont gamble, but most of the table games were full and the I heard a lot of winners at the slot machines, so thats a good sign. This is the place that I will definitely be staying at when I come back to town.

The buffet was average casino fare.it had the appearance of being fancy but the taste of not so fancy.I would say it was average for a casino.definitely not worth the money paid but better than cooking at home when you dont have time to cook.the selection was good.I am from the south where we have good catfish and crawfish and theirs was of course below average.so was the shrimp and just about everything else I ate.the Chinese was probably premade preheat and serve.like isaid it had the appearance of fancy and the price of fancy but mediocre quality and taste.the cake however was delicious.I like the hard rock but I cannot leave a good comment about the buffet because it was definitely not worth $15.would u go back.yes to the casino but absolutely not to the buffet.service was good.its just the food was not.if you have eaten at alot of places like I have then u will know what I mean.ive eaten all over the country.during these hard economic times folks if you decide to take the wife out to a fancy place and spend a little money then consider other options because you will probably be disappointed like I was.it was Easter.I wanted to share a nice buffet with my wife and kids.my one year old daughter loved it tho because they played good music thru out the meal.hard rock.there maynot be much yall can do to fix this but if I was a casino ID put more effort into my buffet.like they say the way to a mans heart is thru his stomach.good luck.
