The best value in Indianapolis, basically a steal for a family. Where else can you go where your children play for free if you buy the very affordable single membership. My boys both 8 and 10 love playing and Steve has really helped them with their game with his lessons, golf camps and has even loaned them clubs for long-term use. The owner Steve really works hard to support the local community and the kids in the community (especially Warren Schools), you can tell he really cares. If you are a family man who wants to see your kids love golf, this is the place to go. Where else can I pay $9.00 (cart rental) for me and my boys to play nine holes, it is the cheapest time out with my children and a skill which will stay with them for a lifetime. In terms of the course quality, Morningstar is not an Augusta S.C or the Brickyard Crossing, however for the East side of Indianapolis its a good course to play and a great value, no rolling hills (like Indianapolis) but plenty of ponds, creeks and beautiful trees I would advise calling ahead, especially if you are not a member, but the staff do a great job on trying to work you into the schedule.

Here is what you are going to get at morning star. The greens fees are inexpensive. The fairways are not going to be tip top shape. The rough is thin and not too punishing. The greens are small and have lots of contour. So at first glance you would say mehh its in the shape you would expect for a low green fee and not much to look at. But if you play it once or twice this is a very strategic golf course. You have the option to go for birdie on most holes but really have some tough risk/reward decisions to make. You can really go low but it can blow up on you if you try sometimes. They also have lots of tournaments here for non members so you can scratch that itch if you need to. The course is just fun to play. But you better bring you course strategy. The course gets a good rating being you can play a stratigic round of golf for under $20. If you like excellent course conditions you arent going to find them here but generally the lies were fine.

There is nothing to like about this course, the greens fee was cheap bit the cart fee was astronomical, the tee boxes had been cut with a push mower, and the fairways were tye length of my backyard Not to mention they were less than 15 yards wide. The rough was long and sparse and coved in little white flowers making it near impossible to find the ball. The bunkers if thats what you want to call them had nearly no sand in them and were like hitting of straight dirt, and finally the greens were incredibly slow and spongy, my group only made one putt outside 10 ft, and 2 of us play currently play college golf. If you want to waste 27$ and 4 hours of your time this is the course for you. Otherwise DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE!

I had a great round at Morningstar! For the green fees charged it was in very good condition - even though we had a hot dry summer. The course does not have homes along every hole so it feels like you are in a park like setting, AND it is easy to walk. I was treated very well by the staff and felt welcome. The course had some interesting holes, and definite challenges, and was fun. A great round for the money and I will be back. Someone told me the PGA pro here is also a golf coach and gives a lot of lessons, so he may be the one for lessons in the area.

Terrible greens. They are small impossible to hold and ridiculous pin placement. Tje tee boxes were high "grass" mostly weeds. If you like to hit drive wedge most holes then play here. I guess it would be good for kids.

Its good for the price. Not greatly maintained, few ball washers, no place to clean clubs. But it is a cool course with semi challenging greens, water hazards, and sand traps which is cool for the price.

Course is in very good shape. My son and I both have taken lessons from Steve the owner he is great to work with and treats us like family. This is my second year as a member here.

Worst course i have ever played on. Greens are poor, bunkers are like hitting off concrete, fairways are like the rough and brown too. No wonder its $5 to play

Friendliest staff in the business. Low prices and challenging course.

Not a bad way to spend an afternoon, but the course needs some TLC.
