Probably the worst customer service service I have ever seen. I cant believe that this is a military base ran course. We showed up at 830 in the morning and the place was completely empty. The starter would not let us go because we only had a twosome. We even offered to pay for a third green fee just so we could play. He wouldnt let us play because he said its the policy to not let any group under at threesome play. I asked why and he kept saying that it was just the rule. No one had a tee time for the next two hours and no one was playing in front of us. He said the only way you can play is to have at least three players. I have been playing for years and this is the craziest thing Ive ever heard of.

I arrived at the golf course on a Saturday morning as Im tdy here by myself. Asked to sign up and told I cant play alone. I waited for 45 min not one person or group even showed up and the pro shop attendant still wouldnt let me play. Overall this is one of the WORST experiences I have had while playing golf. For the price Ill play somewhere else... I expected better customer service and commen sense.., maxwell you dropped the ball on this one

Played the River Course on 9.4.2010 and it was a mess! The greens were horrible, and the fairways were not great either. This course barely earns two stars. Not sure about the University Course and its condition. Staff was accommodating as we almost lost our tee time on a Saturday because we only had a twosome. Much better courses to play in the Montgomery area. Not a good military course in my opinion.

Nice driving range and two quality courses to choose from. The reviewer below must have caught the greens when they were being maintained because the greens arent terrible. Some have a few rough patches but overall the course is well maintained with both sand, water and runway hazards, how many courses can claim all three?!

Military-only golf course on Maxwell Air Force Base. They used to have 36 holes, but now only 18 because one course kept flooding and budget cuts were really cutting into how well they were able to maintain it. Course condition is fairly good.

Had no issue with tee time on Saturday morning even as a single. The rules have changed to accommodate twosomes and singles. Course is in great shape, staff is friendly, and food was great. Will definitely play Maxwells course again.

Fun course, list a couple balls in the drink, really nice rolling greens, more than usual fire an AF base course. Great scenery and long course made fire a great afternoon.

18 hole golf course is kept up pretty good. There are several spots that retain water even 2 days after it rains. The staff is great and prices are competitive.

I enjoy their "Hole in One" breakfast of a coffee/soda, pancake, bacon, hash browns, and one egg cooked to order.
