My husband and I came to the course on Saturday around 11:00 am. We had seen this course several times from the intersate as we live in Jemison. We waited a few minutes on someone to come to the fromt counter as it was not attended. We met Gary Dolman and paid for our round. After 9 holes we came back to clubhouse for me to go to ladies room. Mr. Dolman was inside with one elder gentleman. I proceeded to tell him what great shape the course was in and that Montevallo could use some pointers. He never once made any remark to me and I just went back to finish. After the final back nine I went back inside and again tried to speak with him and tell him I loved the course. He made no remark again. I would think if someone was complimenting your course and sating great things you could at least say thank you. I did ask his name and the managers name. I love the course Mr. Shawn Freese but a courteous employee meeting guest would be good. I would hate to think it was because I was a lady and not a man. Anyway, I loved the course. Mu husband shot a 70 and I a 78 so we can play golf. Maybe speak to him and encourage him to smile would be a great asset to this club.

The manager is crazy. I just watched my freinds playing. I paid $6 for riding a cart, but he tried to put the blame to me. Ive never hit a ball, but he made a ridiculous claim that I was playing. I felt deeply wronged by the allegations. He asked for $ 16 more and tried to call police because I disagreed with him. I needed police also, but he didnt call. why? becuase he told a big lie. He said " dont come back ". I think he is a racist. ( he is white guy, but Im not.) He has sent 2 guys for watching us whether Im playing or not. They were behind me & the other side. It was very an unpleasant matter for us. He is crazy!!!!!

We really enjoyed this 9 hole course. The practice area is nice, all of the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape. The pace of play was just okay but that was to be expected with players making the turn and playing it twice. I think its a great place to practice your game and knock the dust off before heading out for a more expensive round. Well be back Im sure.

I got my first birdie on HOLE 9 PAR 5 - WOW - and the grounds are GREAT - very well kept - and as a beginner who has only been playing for less than 6 months - Its awesome to play the same 9 holes back to back -

This park is amazingly beautiful, Has everything from picknic benches, playground walking trail etc. The scenery is just gorgeous.. Would like to go back again. What an awesome family park!

This is a challenging course, and is well kept to be a 9 hole public course. Everytime I played, we loved the challenge. Great food. Def will play it again for the 5th or 6th time.

Greens are perfect and Im impressed with the staff. You can tell the excellence starts from the maintenance all the way to the clubhouse staff. Awesome experience! Hidden gem IMO

Excellent fairways. The greens are slow, but in good condition. Friendly and polite staff. Practice areas, including driving range, are immaculate. Great value.
