Firstly, when I ordered tickets and was asked if I wanted any food/drinks, I said, "Do you have any specials with 2 drinks and a popcorn," and the response was, "we have that and your total will come to $21.xx," so I order that, assuming he means my total total, but no, he rings me up for over $40. Should have been more clear. Then Im told that there arent free refills on popcorn. Youre telling me that for $22 dollars, if I want a refill on my less than a dollar worth of popcorn (that no one offered butter or any other flavoring on), I cant have one? Overcharging is one thing, but overcharging at a theater that smells like urine and doesnt turn the lights off for the whole movie and doesnt have good enough sound deadening to keep me from hearing 2 other movies from the other theater rooms is unjustified, and I wont be back.

To whom it may concern, If the owners of this Theater put a little more money back into it they would probably see a high attendance. First of all the tickets are way too high! I dont mind paying a little more if the theater is worth the cost, but The whole place stinks; I mean literally. It smells like a locker room. I believe The main reason why bathroom doors are kept open is because The bathrooms are not properly taken care of and by keeping the doors open it reduces the smell. I just want you to know it does not help! This theater is gross and there are too many to choose from to be limited to this one. The bucket of popcorn cost me $14 and it was stale. I remember when it was first built. It was very nice and well taken care of.... what happened??????

Not super impressed. The seats are terrible. Your butt hurts halfway into the movie. Prices on concessions are ridiculous. It is like you are paying for someones entire paycheck from a bag of popcorn. The sound system is poor. The only advantage to going out to the theater opposed to staying at home is the "bigger" screen. I have a 72" tv and a far better sound system then the theater does. It is simply not worth $20 per movie just for the movie and a Nacho. I give 2 stars because the screen is bigger than mine and the Exit signs are Red, when they are lit.

This is not a bad theater but it has lost its appeal with 9.00 for an adult ticket. $35 for a popcorn, drink, and two tickets. And the place has dirty floors and paint chipping all over the place. Every corner or edge of a doorways has paint missing and the wall is falling apart. As someone that grew up in this area and enjoyed this theater, Im really sad to see how is falling apart. The concession stand did look clean and the popcorn was OK. Over all the experience isnt bad but the looks of it is becoming an eye sore.

Best popcorn around..... But yes the theater is filthy.. Bathrooms were gross and actual theater was gross. Sat in a seat that was soaked... And theatre wasnt cleaned in between shows :( people that left from prior show left it a mess had popcorn spilled every where. But will be returning since their popcorn is sooo much better than the other theater in sterling we will be sure to all use toilets before we leave our house and go :)

Bathrooms are filthy -- warped and broken counter, sinks with no faucets, hand dryers barely work, no hand towels and soap dispensers dont work. Who is managing this place?! Every corner of the floor is grimy too. The projector wasnt working properly in our theater, so we saw no video for the pre-show. This place looks like it was built in the 90s and has had no repair or updating since then. What a dump.

Clean and they are pretty efficient at getting people through the lines in a rapid manner. Discount ticket services (Deal flicks and Fandango) are both accepted here. What few staff dont know how to key the discount tickets, management or a knowledgeable staff are right there to speed the process along.

We drive all the way to Rockford anymore. Seats are so uncomfortable and any other theater has better screens. Ticket prices are good and concessions are way too high for the old theater. We only come here if we dont feel like driving to Rockford but almost always feel the drive is worth the better option.

Got there early due to complaints of wait time at concession stand. Took 10 minutes to sign up and get concessions. Floor in theater was all sticky the whole lenth of aisle. No sound during commercials etc. at beginng until just bwfore movie started even though my husband informed the staff twice.

It was so gross currently it is 7/4/17. There was literally mold on the ceiling Im guessing from water damage it smelt like mold and was extremely gross. There was popcorn spilt everywhere....we left because the mold smelt so strong. It was so disgusting. I would not recommend this place at the moment.

Good service. Good expensive food. But if you wanna keep marking the ticket prices up then you guys need more modern movie theater seats your seats hurt my back and neck and most movie theaters have comfortable seating in big cities so if you ask for big cities prices than get some new seats!

The change has been negative. Lines are long, prices go up, and service has gone down. Two lines; one to buy concessions and the other to get them ourselves is an asinine idea and makes me want to avoid that place. And read the other reviews for the condition of the building.

Love going to the movie. Dont like to watch them at home....want the big screen. I wish movies were changed more often,...hence we might see more movies. Ive been waiting for 2 or 3 to come to Sterling...think driving 40 or 50 miles to see them is going to be necessary. Sad.

Terrible experience. Dirty. Concession stand was unorganized and disgusting. Had to wait in line to get a beverage and missed beginning of movie. Management must not be getting paid enough to take better care of this place. Disappointing

Best employees in any theater ive been to and the best popcorn around town.The theaters are consistently spotless even on a busy night. Been to the other theater downtown and it doesnt come close to this one. Will be returning soon!

Corporate Carmike needs to give theater some attention. The conditions in the ladies room are deplorable. This theater serves many surrounding communities and consumers deserve a better physical environment. Employees are great!

Old and nasty. They could easily drop some coin and remodel this place. I will travel farther to be at a better theater. Sound is not good and depending on the theater its hard to see the screen. No tiered seating just bad.

Place need up dating price is high for popcorn and drinks So we dont buy popcorn or drinks staff are friendly The theater isnt making any one buy drinks or popcorn so ,you dont have buy it eat before you come ,

We love going to the movies, it is a treat for my whole family. This poor theater needs some TLC. As the convenient options for viewing a movie are limited for the Sauk Valley, we will return to this theater.
