Miles of horse, walking/running and biking trails. Large fields where Ive seen many activities from flying RC planes to sports. On the Chattahoochee river. Camp sites. Small water park for kids. Pavilions for grilling and gathering. Now kind of overshadowed by the newer, larger, nicer Chattahoochee river Bend SP but McIntosh is still very special in my heart and I actually prefer it many times.

Quiet, off the beaten path. Basic amenities, pavilions. Some interesting historical info signs. Scenic river overlook. Large open field. Local hotspot for riding horses. Basic camping spaces with no hookups. Next to Chattahoochee river. Families with kids will enjoy splash area or scampering across river rocks. Boat ramp is take out point for kayak paddlers who use local outfitters. $5 daily use fee.

Best discovery after living in Coweta County 5+ years, as this is the most beautiful park worth going to. Worth the 20-30minute drive from NEWNAN, as there is nothing in remote comparison to this breathtakingly beautiful family oriented ALL natural Nature reserve & state park. The kids have loved it more than ever. Beautiful!

One of the best places to go and ride horses in Georgia. Very overlooked. Its generally quiet and there is a lot of Native American history there that very few people know about. Excellent horse polo field and place to fly drones or RC aircraft. Close to Carrollton and Douglasville, GA.

I had one of my best camping trip in the park. We hiked both day and nights. Had great clean campsites. Loved exploring the old cabin on property.. I am coming back next month to do it all over again.

Beautiful place to walk and a great place to ride horses, the trails are not marked so its easy to get confused but the trails are not super long. It was 6$ for two people and two horses to ride.

We loved this secret place!!! Beautiful quiet campsites on the Chattahoochee River. Very nice to unplug and relax. Campsite manager was very helpful. Just a nice family friendly atmosphere.

Labor day found park relatively quiet...but beer cans, forgotten clothing and other trash along the bank of Chattahoochee prevent this grand park from 5 * rating. Too bad.

Poorly maintained. Trails are not clearly marked. Most are impassable. Was a free park for county residents. Now is a $5. Charge. No swimming, splash and play is closed.
