This will be the most positive sounding one star review ever. The food, for a bowling alley, is above average and the beer selection is great. Beer is pricey, but youre getting top end beer at a bowling alley - higher prices kind of come with the territory. Place is relatively clean and the staff were never rude. However, we attended as part of a private event - a Big Lebowski inspired bowling party the alley was hosting. Part of the ticket you purchased was a drink ticket for a white russian. Given that the bar line was long I waited for it to die down before redeeming my coupon, however I and many other patrons were informed that they had run out of white russians. However, if we wanted to pay for a white russian, they could do that. Apparently the "house" vodka had run out. Any business which agrees to provide a particular service for an agreed upon price but then turns around and refuses to perform that service unless you pay more money (in this case $8) is not a place I plan on doing business with in the future. It is not the customers fault that the management did not calculate the correct amount of house vodka to keep on the shelf (even though they knew exactly how many drink coupons they would be giving out that night), and is awful customer service to say "we are out of the drink you have a free coupon for unless you are willing to pay for it". All in all, if you arent going for a private event its a really decent bowling alley. I just wont be going back.

First time back to this place in over 8 years, nice looking place, fun and clean atmosphere. Our visit started poorly as the desk attendant was rather rude to us and in order to rent shoes we had to give one of our own shoes to the desk as collateral. (Ive never seen this done before, most places just hold an ID or credit card, a much more simple and sanitary system.) Pricing was fine for the bowling, but the shoe rental prices were extremely expensive compared to other alleys in the area such as Funtime bowl. Our bowling setup was fine, lane was ok, the house bowling balls were very cheap and plasticy, as if they were from Walmart or a discount bowling shop. 3/4 through our 3rd game (with 4 people) our prepaid time for an hour was out, yet we assumed we could finish our game, considering we only had 2-3 frames left per person. Our lane shut off immediately, all our scores erased soon after and when we went to the desk to ask why we could not finish our game, the grumpy lady just told us "our systems automated, nothing I can do." So to finish a game of bowling we wouldve had to pay an entire prepaid hours worth no matter what. Final verdict: Alley has great potential, great food menu and good location, but the bad customer service and poor pricing set up make this a place I will not visit again.

My daughter and one of her friends went to Midtown Bowl, but this establishment refused to accept the Visa gift card that was given to them by a local non profit organization. Their intention was to treat some girls to an afternoon of fun. My issue is that if you have the Visa logo as being accepted then you should accept all Visa cards. Ester stated that if the name is not embossed on the gift card, then they cant accept it. How many gift cards do you get with the name embossed on it??? If I had been there I would have told them to take their business elsewhere, but they had already paid with their own money before I found out what happened. None of the employees seemed to care, just send you to the next person who gives the same robotic answer. Almost like conversation with the tin man

Its midtown, where you pay more and get less, in this instance you pay more per hour, and per person. Didnt have an option to just pay for the lane for all night, etc. Kind of a bummer cause it really shortens the fun on parties, having to keep going and paying every hour. Also, you have no control of the bowling experience, you have to give bowlers names to the staff, as theres no screen to type the names in yourselves, and have more options like at other locations. Overall, my thoughts on this location was "Its ok".. Not really upgraded for a midtown location though.

Went with family to go bowling, which according to Jim Gaffigan is "the activity you do when youve done everything else." Midtown Bowl reminded me of a dingy place I grew up going to in rural Vermont. Kind of just feels dirty and greasy everywhere. The way the tables are stacked behind the lanes means youre not really able to feel cohesive as a group. Staff were obviously stressed.

Great lanes with an even better bar inside. Ive never eaten the food, but I have blown a lot of money at the bar. Bowling is quite expensive as well, because they only do hourly lane rentals as opposed to per game, but all in all, its a great time to be head. Pardon their current MASSIVE renovation project. Its hot as all get out in there until they finish that.

Cut off a friend for ordering a drink because he wasnt sure of his lane number. Even though he said 30 & our lane was 31. Employee yelled at multiple people over the loud speaker while we were hear for random things. Not very clean & took 45 minutes (literally no exaggeration) to get shoes even though we were 3rd in line. Will never be coming back again

I ordered food, and upon checking on my order an hour later, I found out that my ticket fell and my order was missed. The cooks and cashier didnt seem to care, as if I had a problem for wanting my food. Nor did they apologize. This was a horrible experience, future patrons, be aware of this if ordering food. Customer service is not a priority here.

My husband and I drive 2 hours to bowl at this facility. When we arrived it was reported that it was closed for a private event. We asked why this was not posted on the website and all we received a head nod like we were wrong. There were at least 8 lanes available but they were not willing to serve us.. This place sucks for the process too!!

Very good bowling alley. I come here about 2-3 days a week with my friends and just play. Bowling is very fun and whoever hasnt gave it a shot, go to Midtown Bowl: 32 Lanes of Bowling / Private Event Space. Amazing place, amazing vibes, and very affordable too. Not expensive at all.

For an average bowling alley, it is great. Not very fancy at all but nice sound system and TVs. Bowled here with three people for an hour on a Sunday evening. We had one lane function issue but they were quick to fix it. We also had some of their wings which were cooked nicely.

Its hard to find a good bowling alley. If you just want to get a cold beer and laugh with friends this is a solid (affordable) place. The lanes are not in the best condition so if you are looking for league plan of to practice your skills maybe find a different location
